Anyone running solar panels to supplement power for grow?

I am not talking about a small grow tent but a place running at least 6000 watts of HPS/HID lights in a legal state.
Batteries, inverters, panels, the whole ball game.

I am curious if anyone here has done this.

If the prices of solar panels vs price of electricity is as in my country - I think it's a fail.
To elaborate: Here you need a whole roof of a family house to get about 10KW of PEAK POWER (maybe 90KWh/day average) and that investment in panels and equipment alone is about 8.000€ (without battery). The problem with solar panels is later power usage (when there is no sun) as battery technology didn't have breakthroughs in last decade.
I didn't say its impossible to do such a ting but only that there is no point going that route - in financial terms.

I was running 5400 watts so I looked in to getting panels and some battery's. They said it would cost me $75. 000 just in the battery's alone so I just went with the panels at $8000

Using solar panels to collect the suns rays...to convert to electricity...to use to power grow lights that mimick the sun. Lol...talk about the proverbial dog running in a circle chasing its own tail !!!! Cant wait until marijuana becomes fully legal and this plant can be put back where it belongs. Talk about cutting out the middle man...good god!!!
