Anyone know where to get high powered LED's?

hehe i have been looking for ones in diff ranges suitable for photosynthesis.. (say 420-430, 460-470nm, 650-700nm) and preferably higher power ones that I can go with less of (like 5+watt) but anything with a good price:power:lumen ratio works too =D

I am looking to get some of them for a good price but everywhere I can find them are either a bad quality (loww lumens) or bad price..

I've put together a couple LED arrays before for graphical purposes but I just do not know where to get the lights for this type of application (high power) at least for any type of a decent price..

I've looked around on google and don't need results from there..but if anyone has researched or looked into these before specifically for this purpose and knows a good supplier please let me know.

I really really would appreciate it a lot =P

Thank you very much

Forget about lumens, at least at the wavelengthes you are talking about! Your wavelengthes are great for photosynthesis - but "Piss poor" at producing a good lumen rating. Lumens are for humans - not for plants!

Lumens are a measurement of how bright a light source appears to the human eye (which is more sensative to green, yellow and orange - especially green). Plants really "Suck up" blue and red light, which register low on the "Lumen Meter Scale". That is why lumens are so misunderstood.
