my boy was telling me about actually submerging your buds in water for a period of time to cure them...not sure about soaking my buds ...can anyone explain
anyone heard of "water curing"

Done this quite a bit. Great for post-grow when you're runnin low. Just cure most of it regularly, and cure however much you'll think you'll need immediately (by immediately, I mean 7 days) in DI water. You lose lots of mass. Actually, you'll be at about 15% mass (regular cure is 25% mass) but it'll hit you heavy, no worries. You'll lose taste and smell (not really lose but just change), but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Me personally, I'll roll my water-cured bud up with just a smidge of tobacco (preferably flavored) and be able to smoke in public without people knowing a thing. The smell is THAT different! To determine a personal prefrerence, just run a side by side comparison and see which you like best.

Not the most recommended course of action!
As mentioned before, try it out on a small amount first to see if you like it.
I tried it on some smaller buds, I missed the proper smell & taste of a real joint so haven't bothered since.

I only water cure with bad buds, or like buds pulled early, I tried this for the first time exactly 7 days ago with some premature bud, I had a tiny purple widow outdoors that suffered root rot, early flowering, and bugs raped it too, and then...it went hermi, so I HAD to pull it...it was just a lil fucked up plant from the start, so I pulled it and water cured the barely developed buds, heres some of the buds drying that I took out of the water today...its worth smoking lol and the water cleaned all the nasty dirt and bugs too...also, it smells and tastes like absolutely nothing, which can be a good thing in some situations, even though I like normal dried and cured buds wayyy more...anyways heres the pics

Oh sorry bro I think you misunderstood, thats not like a before and after...its just different lighting, its all bud I took out of water today after the 7 day cure ...its drying.

lmao yeah...anyways it wont look that good after its dry...it will be a lot more airy...and after its all dry you can tell the buds were barely developed...anyways its worth smoking, cuz when I smoke a fatty of it, it gets me pretty high...sativa-ish... lol

You lose all aroma and flavor since terpenes are water-soluble.
The bud gets all dark and ugly, and it just doesn't feel like smoking ganj anymore.
I only did it cause i burned my Bubblegum with ferts. Never again!
