hmm there are two things to this. #1 a plant "knows" which way is up. It will attempt to grow that way. #2 a plant will stretch towards a bright light source - be it either a window allowing ample light in or a bulb. #1 dominates #2. pick up a biology book and read something on plant biology folks

Ok so i tried it. And this is how i did it.
I took a tub and cut out 16 holes on the lid, then i put the cups up side down with the plants growing downward twoard a florecent light at the bottom of the tub, i cut holes in the botoms of the cups(where the roots are and now are right side up above the plants) so that i can water them from the top. Its been one day and get this..... The tops of the plants curled and started to grow UP!!! Away from the light source!!! The lights are just as far away as they would normally be so some how these plants that are blocked away from any other light source are growing up against gravity but they are up side down since day one!! Ill recored and post my findings after a week.

I saw someone’s post on reddit that did it with light on the ground and it still grew upwards due to hormonal auxin to go against gravity or something like that is what the dude said

Nice bump!
8 years

Also, I've grown in the topsy turvy tomatoe thing.
It worked well for cherry Tom's.
Had to water every day after a hot day as the soil is suspended in the sun.
It grew very fast to 5feet in length.
The main benefit was not having to support such a tall/lanky plant.
(Apart from the hanging point)

you have some of the science there. if you top a cannabis plant it sends the auxin down so what if you consistently topped her as she grew? would you then be able to control where and how she grew
