I was looking up ways to cure and seen some water cureing method. Does this really work? If so any pointers on how to do it.

I was only going to try a little bit. It seems like it works quicker than curing in jars. But yea I was not going to do alot only about 30 grams wet just to test it out.

I tried it on a small amount of my first harvest.

IMHO the drawbacks far outweigh the benefits. Let's take a look:

-You lose all olfactory pleasure. In other words, it smells and tastes nothing like weed anymore. In fact it tastes NASTY.

-The weed turns into an unattractive brownish color. Not pretty.

-You lose more mass; which is how people say it "increases THC".
Basically trichomes aren't water soluble, so you lose bud mass while still keeping the trichs intact.

-Cleaner, smother smoke through the removal of chlorophyll and some stored nutrients. That's about the only upside for me.

Not worth it unless you hate the taste, smell and smoking pleasure of weed.

i've done it. It's great for pulling the smell from your herb so you can smoke it in public w/o the smell. It's great for personal stash, it does concentrate your herb, so to speak, so it hits stronger for the same weight. It takes a week from chop to smoke. It smokes smooth.
if your selling it's a bad idea, if it's your own then it's good.

I find it good to water cure a small portion of my harvests. I use them in joints rolled with tobacco. Can't smell anything, good for smoking in bars and clubs, anywhere public.

Just got done with my first batch and the rumors are true. 1. yes its gets you really fucked up. 2. Yes it turns brown and shrinks. 3. Yes its loses taste and flavor. 4. Yes it will not stink up your entire block immediately after harvest like hang drying does. 5. Yes your friends will look at it and say "your crop sucks"

It was good for me for this run cause I had to chop early and didnt get a chance to flush. Also it got me a little stash to keep my eager ass scissors away from the rest of the crop which is finishing up...and testing my patience. I am air drying the remainder at the same time and tried a sample and the air dried is far more delicious and pretty..

In summary, if you have the time and can stink up the block, air dry then jar.

i water cured a week ago the weed loses it bag appeal..it gets brown in color i found that the smoke is very smoooth tho
i tried it just to see what it was about...i think ill wait to air cure thee rest

I've read at a differen foum that if you cut the cure time to 3 days you retain more of the resin and flavor and smell, IDK.

Water curing does not turn your weed brown I dont know what sand monkey did. It doesn't taste bad either it just taste very green. I like water curing, not for my whole harvest but i always water cure a little for some fast bud.
