Anyone else heard that you need to renew your card by July 10?

I highly doubt any growers will want to have any contact with the feds. And no one needs to call on the dispensaries the feds probably already have a close eye and will find them all by themselves.
+/-126 strategically located, well documented businesses, easy enough LOL...

Yeah with verified 150,000$ cash on hand ....... I wonder how that's gonna turn out.
The 150k can be a line of credit/ tangible stocks but you make a good point.
Once these business are operational, most banks will not touch their money..
Some will even freeze the non-profit accounts, if there is 150 liquid floating around I dont think B of A would have a problem snatching that up under a federal order.

Line of credit is not acceptable. Nor is Credit union funds from many credit unions NOT on the state list.

This will be the factor that kills a lot of apps. Cash also needed to be seasoned for 30 days. ;)

Let's just hope those dispensaries don't open too soon. I personally think the clubs are fine and will get better over time. Caregivers and patients is all we need as buying from the dispensaries will make one go broke quick!

Seems to be a lot of misinformation here. What I do know is on az health dept marijuana site directors blog in may director Will Hubble
stated to one person if he renewed his card he could grow for a full year the second guy he said probably one year and then when a caregiver inquired about being grandfathered in for a year with card renewal this asshole referred to the 25 mile rule he couldn't of been more vague. My question is if we renew even if the health department okays it cant they still prosecute because of the 25 mile rule and wouldnt it be upto the police and county prosecuter. I need to renew all cards but am getting real paranoid running 800 a month electric.
dispensaries will be announced august 7th and will open fast (days after that).

The permits will be given out in august but it will take some time for the facilities to be in compliance and more important for az dhs to have tine to inspect them. I have heard that you should expect dispensaries to be operating as early as September. And as far as your cards remaining valid for a year I think that your authorization to grow goes with that until you renew. That's what I have heard from dhs on their website.

Yes but does that authorization protect you even when the law says you must be 25 miles away?
You're as protected as you were before the dispensary opened - which is to say legal by state law, illegal by federal law. Most of the comments here are spot on - you can grow as long as the card you have says you can grow and is valid. The state will stop issuing renewals with grow rights if the PATIENT is within 25 miles of an open dispensary. Dispensary licenses will be granted on August 7th, but can't start operating until inspected by the state - and there is no reason to assume that will be a particularly efficient process. Count on at least a month after August 7th for the state to act.

Most people don't get that there is a legal way to keep growing. Advertise in Craigslist or similar for a patient in a rural area that is more than 25 miles from a dispensary - and then you can grow for him as a caregiver forever, even if you are within 25 miles of a dispensary yourself. And you get to keep the excess meds you produce.

Sounds somewhat presumptive when the law says different unless you have some legal reasoning to support this.
