Any seeds/strains 45 days or less flowering? Online seed companies that ship to Colo?

I have seen a few claiming 45 days or less.
Oracle, Elephant Bud Berkley Blues (Stoney Girl in Oregon) and a few others claim less than 40 days but web sites are dodgy or do not respond.

Any strains with good yield 45 days or less?

Also is it safe to have seeds shipped to Colorado?

Any suggested seed companies people do business with?

Thanks.

Keep an eye out for M.O.B., MOB, mother of berries. Its a Maine local strain but fairly acquirable. Finishes in 45 days, ideal to harvest tops and let the bottom go for 50 but whatever floats your boat. Dense bushy indica, wreaks of sweet berries. Pretty potent. Just seems to favor the tops for density, the extra time on the bottom helps. My buddy gets great results with a light mover. Great all around strain though i find the overwhelming berry odor a bit much when trimming!

Freedom 35, haven't tried it though. But yes there are some not bad, ok, but mostly crappy, auto's out there. I've grown 6-7 strains and only two were worth mentioning, think different, with one real fast finishing pheno being good, and blue auto mazar which was ok with a decent yield.
Edit: have a look at Dr. Greenthrumb's Iranian crosses as well, heard good things.

This one says 35 days of flowering, good yield, unknown THC content. Shorter plant.

It is autoflowering. I still do not know difference with autoflower because I have never grown autoflower. Do they just start flowering before you switch to 12/12?

Can you clone them in veg? Thanks.
No cloning allowed lol, you'll just have tiny flowering sticks. They flower by time, not light and most run them under 18 hours I think, all mine are outdoor and finish in 10ish weeks. There are a lot more bad auto's than good I think. So chose wisely lol. The one thing with the auto's I've grown is I typically get 10 or so seeds from them but haven't tried planting them. Perhaps they would be as good as originals. Has anyone tried them? I have 7 lol

It will be hard to find something potent and flavorable because those shirt flowering times have been developed for commercial growers. Meaning that a lot of the strains you see as fast times tend to exhibit commercial growers desires not personal grower.

Example:

Commercial grower- main goal is short flowering time, then large yields. Taste, flavor all come in Third and fourth

Personal Grower- Main goal taste, second potency, third yield

My advice, buy 30-40 regular seeds of something that has a short flowering time, (not an auto) and phenohunt the one with the shortest flowering time. I have a Sunset Sherbet cut that is done between 42-49 days. Most usually go 56 days or more

If you order from within the USA you'll likely not have any problems. It's the international orders that have to pass through Customs that have the chance of being snagged/tagged.

Out of curiosity...why are you seeking such quick flower times? A few extra weeks on 8 week/etc. strains will likely yield more weed that fast flowering autos/etc. Unless you are severely space challenged...it seems counter-productive to go though all of the same steps to shave off a few weeks and a substantial chance at more weight.

but good luck either way.......

Thanks bro. Yeah autoflowers seem like a waste of time. When pheno hunting - take the clone cuts just as they start flowering?

An old timer told me to phenohunt but he did not call it that. Always look for the best one and pull it out as a mom or take cuts. Thanks.

Yeah I tend to agree with you. Especially autoflowering being a waste. You just hear about the mythical strains like Oracle that flowers heavy in 33 to 37 days or less and the seeds are really expensive. Stoney Girl in Oregon who claims to have strains that avg 35 days with THC of 28%.

Some friend out in Humboldt trimming claimed he knew a rich grower that had something like Oracle.

Always looking for magic beans bro.

I know a young guy who's brother has been in a barn in Maine for years. Pretty big barn. I will check with him. Those Maine folks don't like people poking around in the woods on their property, so no one bothers them.

I hate this idea, and this advice to new growers...

"Buy a shit ton, grow them all out, and then you can select the best one!" They leave out the fact that you only want to grow one or two plants, and that even after you selected Mr. PerfectBud...... then what? Hop in your time machine and go back so you can clone it while its in veg? Go back in time again and you can even breed it!

No time machine? No commercial sized grow operation?

Maybe phenohunting is something to leave for another day....

You're not going to get any guaranteed 45 day or less strain. Even those claiming so will likely require longer times. Eight weeks/56 days is pretty much the minimum of what it takes before you're ready to harvest with most strains regardless of what they tell you in the descriptions.

I just finished harvesting a strain called Quicksand Kush. It only took 51 days from the DAY I flipped to 12/12 . Came out top notch and yielded a Quarter lb off one plant . Unfortunately I haven't been able to find seeds , only clones . But genetics are ( BlackBerry Kush x Sweet tooth ) X ( sweet tooth x chemdawg). Strong terpenes. Smell is strong and sweet . Tastes incredible and a majority of the buds were good sized. Minimal small popcorn buds 20170923_205554.jpg 20170923_233713.jpg 20170929_172941.jpg 20170929_173011.jpg

Nice looking bud.
I tried to snatch one of your buds through my computer screen but it didn't work. Ha ha

Here is some Emerald Triangle Blackberry OG at exactly 7 weeks/49 days. Many people would say it's ready to harvest and many would. You would still end up with some great bud. But I'm looking through the scope and seeing 60% clear and 40% cloudy trichomes with no amber at all. Buds are still swelling as well and purple tints are just starting to show up. I'm letting it go another week or longer depending on what the trichomes tell me.. You might be able to harvest good bud after 45 days but you would likely get better by letting most strains grow a little longer. Some strains look ready well before the best time to harvest.

Haha maybe one day technology will allow that to happen lol. I was at a good 50 50 mix of cloudy and clear with quite a few Amber at 51 days . They probably could of gone a little longer but oh well. Grew under s 400 watt hos and 450w viparspectra ( 200 actual draw)

I wasn't saying your plants were not ready. I complimented you on your bud. I hope you didn't take my post as something negative towards your nice looking harvest.
I made my post and posted a picture of my current grow for others that think that the pistils turning orange is a sign that it's time to harvest. Mine isn't ready even though it looks done to the naked eye. I don't know what your plants look like through a scope.
Anyway, your buds look awesome. I wish I could load some of that up in my pipe and smoke some. My post wasn't intended to be negative towards your harvest in any way.

Happy growing.

Nice job! I love the Quicksand Kush name too. LOL!

Smart mixing LED with HPS. You got a very nice yield there without spending too much on electricity,
