Any Ideas?

Didn't know where to ask this but figured here is good any.

Borrowed a t5 from my landlord as i quickly needed some more light in veg.

Well he must have not ever noticed that that clear plastic film that is put on the reflective metal above the bulbs was never taken off.Shit is baked on now and unable to be pulled off.All dry and brittle.

Any ideas on some thing for me to get it off?

Was thinking some thing like paint thinner or the likes but do not know if any kind off chems would mess up the finish.

Use automotive Tar and Glue remover, it will need to soak for 30mins. Won't affect the surface finish.
