Any Ideas What’s Going On?

Any ideas what is going on with plant. Was pretty green all over now into last 1-2 weeks of flowering: will be flushing first time next watering and the second time about a week later.

I am using Molasses, Aloe Vera juice, Coconut Water every Monday and Wednesday waterings (I only water if needed, which most of the time they need it),

AND every Friday I use above additives plus: Growmore Jumpstart and Recharge.

AND every other week I typically top dress with organic plant food.

Maybe it’s getting too much nutrients.

I had some minor issues with the plant early on got it all fixed up and it began budding nicely now it seems as if it’s slowed growth a little and the leaves are starting to turn that color/look.

pH water going in is always around 6.25-6.50.

Growing in Stonington Blend Growers Mix.

Maybe I just harvest now before it gets worse and effects quality?

Any ideas?

I'm not critiquing your grow, but those buds look small and as if they haven't plumped up yet. I also see a lot of white pistils. Perhaps it still has a while to go.

I also think your plant is very healthy for the end of it's life. Normally at least the fan leaves will have died as it nears maturity. I think I saw one turning color, but I would expect a lot more.

If you're going to keep growing for a while, you will need to address the nutrient issue.

What week of flowering are you in? The yellowing/purpling seems to be natural for a plant at the end of it's life, but like above poster mentioned, the buds look like they have a few weeks more to go as they aren't near ready yet. The only yellow leaf i see, assuming the plant is less than 6 weeks into flower, would be phosphorus lacking, but that would be evident on other leaves as well.

No worries at all. I’d rather have constructive criticism for sure.

The plant is a dark devil and from what I’ve read sometimes they do yield small. However, I had issues early on with this one and probably stunted it a little. I also agree a lot of whit pistols showing but a lot of them are also turning reddish but I think that’s just park of the plants characteristics.

The other dark devil im growing is much more like it should be. In terms of growth development. I just think something is starting to go wrong with this pot in particular.

Checked trichs and small amount cloudy and mostly clear it seems. Can’t tell if any amber.

Just don’t want to deal with any issues late in the game with this one considering it caused issues in the beginning...

Should also say there are two plants in one pot. One that is not so purpleish (showing more white pistols) came out of soil about 3 days after the other. I also believe there is at minimum 3 weeks left I just was alarmed by the sudden change in leaf color.

It’s an 8-9 week auto from seed and showed there first pistols on December 26th. Popped thru soil on December 6th. I was more worried about an issue causing me to lose the entire plant(s).

Definitely don’t want to cut it too soon. Will give it another week and watch how it goes. It should have all of the nutrients it needs so I’m just baffled.

you definitely have a few weeks left...at least 3 for sure based on how the buds look. The new pics don't show much damage, it's not something that will make you lose your plant. Definitely don't harvest now as there's no point in that! Swings in ph can cause those irregular yellow patches. Maybe it's the reflection, but it appears some leaves have some kind of shiny/wet look to them?

Might be too much Nitrogen? Glossy leaves and slowed/reduced bud development. I've had that when I have nitrogen toxicity in a grow. But I don't see it anywhere else on the plant so I feel like I might be mistaken.

You may be right..not a hard toxicity, but it's possible. Lack of calcium, iron or sulfur would diminish harvest as well, and too much nitrogen at this stage as well. The glossiness i see looks like either something sticky on the leaf, or it's wet, hard to tell, maybe a reflection lol.

Was thinking nitrogen toxicity as well because I noticed a couple of clawing leaves. But might just be the way the leaf is growing.

Might it me light burn? I adjusted the lights closer by 2-3” and this started to happen about two days afterward which seems about the right amount of days for the light to damage the leaves.

I don’t think I’m using anything high in nitrogen per se however the organic plant food I use is top dressed on for slow releasing so maybe that is where it’s coming from.

I’ll monitor plant over next week and report back any findings.

Definitely don’t want to harvest now if I can reap a larger yield. Not expecting much from this pot in terms of yield anyways...hoping for 7 grams if I’m lucky lol.

I have two critical plus growing so that will be my major yielders (going to push for 14-15ozs per plant-still a newb, and anything more than that I’ll see as a bonus...:) once I’m done with the dark devils and the two other autos (another dark devil and a sour diesel - which btw seem to be both kicking ass in terms of growth) I have going...the newer dark devil still in veg (technically showing pistols now) looks completely different at this stage compared to the dark devils flowering now. It’s like night and day so I expect a much larger yield from the newer dark devil than the current flowering ones.

Thx for all the comments and suggestions.

1 pound plants? That's something to aim for..good luck!!! What light are you using, how long do you plan to veg to get that yield per plant?

Thinking maybe manganese deficiency based off of this leaf...

Pale Color Leaves
Yellow Leaves - Lower, older leaves
Yellowing Between Veins
Veins of Leaves Stay Green
Brown or Dark Spots
Slow Growth

LOL RayRay. I said it like that hoping you would take it the exact opposite way. No critique, they look nice. I was trying to say that they should be bigger if it's around time to harvest.

There a lot of smart people here who can help with correcting the nutrient problem. I wish I had the purple one!

A manganese deficiency would start at the top as it is highly immobile within the plant. This pic it looks a bit like mold. It's hard to say what can be causing it as personally, it seems like alot of additives to add so frequently. You're growing in what seems to be a rich super soil type, watering every 2 days seems too often, and im not sure which brand you're using with the molasses coconut water and aloe vera juice, but that in itself seems alot..add in fridays with Recharge (which has kelp in it like your soil as well as molasses)...remember kelp contains potassium and nitrogen, and coconut water is quite high in potassium, as is molasses and brand depending, aloe vera juice. Jump start seems to be more of the same like molasses. You should also try to keep your ph no higher than 6.3 for your medium..it's main structure is sphagnum peat moss and coco fiber, which respond best at 5.8-6.3. It seems it's getting too much and too often.
I remember 2 years ago i had a really nice plant, early in flower, no issues at all! I gave it its first small dose of molasses, and the high amount of potassium and extra calcium (which it was already getting from one nute and my tap water), started locking out iron, and then the extra iron sitting around in the medium then locked out manganese before i realized what had happened and stopped it. Im not familiar with the strain you're growing, so not sure how sensitive they can be to feedings.

A little wishful thinking on my part lol...

Probably can only veg for a month because of height constraints.

600W LED

Not really sure what to expect tbh..::)

I thought same thing but don’t see it anywhere else on plant. Was just observing other leaves. Watered today and moved lights up 2”...so let’s see how it looks by Sunday. Don’t have to go back into the box until Sunday morning so will let them grow in peace all Saturday without disturbing them.

Yeah it’s pretty decent soil. I water lightly on Monday and Wednesday with little to no runoff. On Friday always have a little run off as i water a little heavier. I only water tho if the plants need it. My schedule is more of a time keeper and reminder for me to check moisture in soil and determine if watering is needed. Definitely don’t plan to overwater.

I am thinking of laying off on the Molasses since im using Jumpstart. Amp it I use for my micros.

Aloe Vera and coconut water I typically use only in veg. The dark devil won’t be getting any coconut water or Aloe Vera. Only seedlings during veg, but once flower starts I drop those two additives.

I think I can carry a plant thru veg but once flower starts I don’t know exactly what to do with the additives I have on hand. I don’t want to get much more as I wanted to stay as organic as possible....

Well I really just believe it’s the past issues I had with the plant with pH issues coming back to haunt me. Took weeks to get plant back on tract and now I still have a month left to go before harvest but I don’t know how to tackle this potential issue with the dark devils.

The new dark devil growing now is so much more vibrant than the other 2 flowering I just don’t know how to judge them besides saying I fucked uo on the first 2. I’ve learned a lot from the 3 plants I’ve grown so far to flowr. One (Alien v triangle) I harvested and is curing in a jar sitting at 64% RH. Trying to get it to 62 and steady. It’s only about 3 grams lmao. I severely stunted this one as in the beginning.

So that’s why I was thinking of just harvesting the dark devils now vs waiting to see if they respond well and fatten the buds up...

With my current additives on hand what would you add to the water and how often?

I think I’m good with weekly: amp it, recharge and jumpstart.

The Molasses I can stop if it makes sense...

Aloe Vera juice and coconut water I believe does great things for the plant and really helps boost growth. I can eliminate those as well if it made sense.

The aloe Vera I don’t use anymore tbh for regular watering but I do use it for my foliage spraying.

So now i see what that shiny or sticky looking things are..its the aloe you foliar feed with. What kind of light are you using btw?
I don't have first hand experience with running truly organic. I have used organic products as additives..like coconut water, i used fresh coconuts, and plants responded really well quite fast! Though you have to watch what you use if using bottled coconut water..organic isn't enough, it has to be raw as well! hard to find and expensive. If they don't mention 'raw', it means that it was boiled prior to bottling for preservation sake, and you lose the best parts of it. Same with kelp..it depends how it's processed.
The plants don't look that bad..i don't think you should change much other than..stop foliar feeding as you're in flower. When you do foliar..only spray the under side of the leaves, and from that sticky look, the aloe you have may have sugar in it, and by getting it on top of the leaves like that, it can 'burn' the plant, and clog the underside (lungs) of the plant. You say you had ph issues which i mentioned prior, can cause those irregular yellow streaks...namely drastic swings in ph in short time. Also, instead of watering little here and a bit more and then more..try to keep watering even...should be no more than twice a week ideally. They need a chance to dry a bit as well. Cut out whatever has the kelp, as the extra nitrogen will hold back flowering. You're soil contains it already and it has alfalfa meal which too has nitrogen, and from the pic it seems a very slight claw is showing on a couple leaves. Otherwise, i don't think the plant has serious issues. At this point, you're at mid flower for an auto for another week, and then only about 2 weeks to go.
