Any guess to whats going on here?

3-12-6 seems hellishly low on N sustain vigorous flowering.

Too high in P compared to N.

I would expect something around 6-3-9 to not require any boosters during flowering.

I've had great succes with a 6-3-8 hydro veg formula from start to finish.

Only increase ppm when you're seeing ppm decrease in your 30g res by more than 100ppm.

ok what is your advice as far as my bloom nutes? supliment with some veg nutes throughout flowering. what brand is the 6-3-8 ?

My goal is to find a way to make y buds more dense, usually i have nice yeilds but the buds are always airy..not sure if its a nute issue or a light issue but i am running a 400w HPS over a small setup so i would imagine thats planty of light. im trying to refrain from bumping the light up to 600w as im in this to save money not waste it on in neccessary watt usage on lights.

the hydro unit has the biggest plant. there are 3 small seedlings that are going to stay small and shouldnt get in the way, obviously if they get much bigger i will have to raise the light and up the wattage which i dont mind doing if necessary. IMG_8010.JPG

No worries about me sticking around.

The 6-3-8 was CANNA AQUA VEGA.

I run 400w too.

Yeah plant looks a little unhappy.

Have you got plenty of air bubbling in your res?

30ppm drop in 24 hours is acceptable.

If it drops to 100ppm lower or more then add some more nutes.

What veg NPK nutes have you got?

DYNA?

If so just use your veg nutes.

A lot of folks cut back N too soon in flowering and it can cause airy buds IME.

I used to run a 600w in my area before I got busted.

Dropped my light down to 400w and my yields have increased lol.

But so to has my skills.

not sure what the NPK is of the nutes im using now its a mix of the dyna grow grow and bloom about 50/50

so 7-9-5 + 3-12-6 = 10-21-11(2) = 5-10.5-5.5 if it works that way which im sure it does not,

That's the stuff.

The UK version is badged different for NPK as there are different requirements over the pond for labels.

I thought DYNAGRO was 9-3-6 for their veg formula.

Even the P in the veg formula seems too high.

Extra P is required when growing outdoors as a lot gets leached away, but in container and hydro not as much P is required because it doesn't leach anywhere.

i may try the stuff your using just because your awesome lol :) plus im not sure how much i like this dyna grow, it is cheap and works but i need something that works great...only thing that sucks is my PH stays right on with it and im afraid if i change my PH will imbalance.

The pH buffers in the canna aqua vega are superb.

I don't use vega any more as I grow in coco. So I use the coco specific nutes now. Higher levels of Ca and Mg with less K as coco produces K over time on its own.

well i have a decent air pump but nothing industrial by any means, just one of these

http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-Air-Pump-Outlets-7-8L/dp/B002TCC46U/ref=sr_1_4?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1410549265&sr=1-4&keywords=air pump

so my thoughts are better airation in a 5 gal bucket.

Agreed.

I think its too little aeration for a 30g.

I used the a similar pump with my 8g.

I used to hang my polo air stone over my MAXIJET inlet. Worked like a charm but I was recirculating and not DWC.

yeah imma switch em over tonight. the plant did perk up a bit. i think it was because i took the pic just after lights on and its beeen getting cool out lately and they are in basement so they were prob just chilly. I may go ahead and clear out the tent and setup temp controller to run a heater at night

My last few grows have been complete shit (well my last grow was decent but it overgrew the tent, same size tote just in soil) and the ones before that were recirc DWC and i had alot of probslems

growing in DWC unit and using dyna grow liquid plant food, i mixed a bottle of grow/bloom 50/50 earlier this summer and have been using that because i havent had a chance to grab another bottle of grow. thinking it may be a p-k tox but im a bit unsure.

That's most probably over-nute. 715 is waaay to high for that stage of growth. my 2cents is dial ppm down to 500. ph to 5.5:twisted:- Check the link in my sig and you'll see I know what Im talking about

IMO nutrients is not your problem your not burning and your not under feeding from what i can see.. You are going to mess things up playing with your nutes. How often are you adjusting your ph? Don't play the ph game it will fuck up your plants fast. I think it's either ph swings or a lack of oxygen in your res your leaves look a little over watered how big is your pump?
