:leaf::leaf:Thinking of investing a few grand into a hydroponic setup with everything that goes with it. I have a little knowledge on growing hands on without much success. just wanted to know how much success did you experienced growers have your first time at it? And if not how long did it take you to get a correct nutrient plan for your ladies to start flourishing:leaf::leaf:

I grew just for fun when I was younger but never did any research on how to successfully help the plant reach its maximum potential. Any help on techniques and nute plans

I say go with soil in big containers.. That way you dont have to worry about timers or sprayers not going off or air stones and ppm meters and what not. If you start in bigger pots, you get bigger root systems. Bigger root systems equals bigger buds! Thats why most people go hydro, you probably arent unfamiliar with the concept. I find soil to be easier and produce a much tastier product when treated right. There are many experienced hydro growers here that can help but that is my two cents. Soil is simple and you can get huge harvests if done right

Pick one nutrient company and use there setup exactly as directed. That is your best starting point. I like AN or H and G. Just do what they say, don't mix and match from several different company's. Buy a large res, this fix almost all problems. for a 4x4 table you need a 70 gallon res, 3x3 a 50 gallon res. Skimping on this will cause strange lockout deficiency issues.
Also you need the right sized pump. I dont know the numbers off my head, but i see most people using to small of a pump. Use hydroton if you can find it, and have your table fill every other hour when lights are on, every 4 hours lights off. Any other questions hit me up

First grow hydro is not the first choice, it can be done but you need to research, research and take religious notes and adapt/adjust. If you cannot do those things then you need to find easier first run choice of grow medium.

NEVER follow nute companies recommended dosage, start smaller and work yout way up till the plants are happy. If you use the dosage on the bottle, like the ill-informed poster before me you will burn and stunt your plants, and will add weeks to your veg schedule if not kill them. I like to start 1/3 of rec. dosage and work from there.

Hydro is fun, I did it for years with veggies and other stuff in a green house inside. I moved one inside and did a sativa grow, it went over six feet. With that said it works great but you have to do a ton of reserach to get it to work the way you want. I built all my stuff did not buy a setup. With that said i is a lot of work, cleaning res, checking ph, nute burn, gnats you name it you have to be ready or will lose any crop if one goes wrong. I now have two girls in soil. Happy Frog is what I chose and it is working fantastic and I have fox nutes I am using for flower but before that I only had to water the girls and they are thriving. It is sooooo much less work, attention etc and I dont notice much dif between their age and the way the last ones were in hydro. In fact, might be the strain, they look better, greener, stronger etc.

If you want any tips on setting up let me know send me pm. For a couple of thousand you can get a nice set up put together.

I never thought about growing till a friend of a friend gave me huge freshly picked bud, it didn't even smell loud. He said to open the jar every night for a week. I did so for about 3 days and forgot about it....... Bout a month later i couldn't find no loud and remembered the jar. I opened that sucker and it made the whole room stink, Ya know that good stank. I smoked that shit and couldn't believe I was so high off some homegrown. That's what made me want to grow
