I have high hopes for the upcoming bill to legalize provision centers. I'm looking for anyone willing to share info and experience on opening a center. It's my hope to open a small center in or near jackson. I've read the bill many times and feel I understand it pretty well. Thanks in advance for the help.

Be great if it happen but I don't see it happening, our Governor and AG would not even have MM in Michigan if they could help it (IMO), so I don't see them legalizing provision centers. I hope I am worng

To clarify,my high hopes come with LOW expectations.
AND a HIGH lawyer bill

In other words, if you're rich, then you should have no problems manifesting your goal
If you are not rich, you better figure out a way to get rich so you can afford to buy your way into the system. And that doesn't include the cost of maintaining your position within the system.

Get out your palm grease and prepare to make some moral decisions you really wish you didn't have to make, and you better be morally strong enough to remain vigilant against the temptation of selling your soul and eventually becoming a complacent recipient of that palm grease.

Its been my impression that opening any business is still and act of activism. Thats great, we need more activist. That said, good luck, have a good lawyer ready and don't be surprised if the state tries to wreck your life. I know nothing about Jackson but I'm sure if they were allowing all sort of business you would not start a thread asking about it.

Good luck either way.

Start a delivery service down there corey

Much less overhead and safer if you do it right......
-a moving targets hard to hit

When dispensaries go online delivery services explode!

Besides you guys got ur decrim passed there in prison city

Just vette all ur customers thru a process
Like the cL guys do or budtrader

Have them photo copy send you a shot of their pt card and 'matching' ID....if the addresses dont match then you can bet its jancky......

Plus you can drive the house before you step in to chk it out

I mean the way the law is written write now its like a pyramid ponzi format......5cg--pts w 5cg--pts and so on

Build on that format

Just pass patients on to each cg pt u have then vette new pts to ur cgs and so on till u fill slots

Only transfer between ur registered pts....and cgs

Like they set up the extinct CCs....
Same format

Its legal like that if you keep it in a collective loop

Thats how the dispensaries are standing their ground but they dont wanna splain that to folks

I mean jackson does have a decrim w possession of oz or less 'transfer'(?) between adults 21 and over

Its a misdemeanor if caught up....? --ehh?

Have ur friend 'matt'A on retainer.....
He already tried and tested vending machines

Run it by him

U just need big ballz deep pocket clause and boldness
The curtain on prohibition is coming down

Slowly

Much better game plan imo

Fuk why would you want that much overhead....

Roger already has the jc3 sewn up down there but....ehh

Plenty o room for competition if you got good quality to offer and better(lower) price

Jm2c

bob should be in here any minut tho to help u remember the state rules and what you 'shouldnt' do....

Unless ur a dispensary owner.....like he says 'hope' gets thru and passed

I got my own ideas on that one now that the leggs have a mandate

I would take two steps back and watch the show for a minut

They will prolly set up dispensaries with HUGE licensing and regulatory fees to b legal-

Can u afford that

Couple hundred thousand to jump in the game?

Im waitin like a cat to open my delivery service-
Of course it has to be AFTER the dispensaries are legalized

Will be much safer then-

Just somthin to chew on if you havent thought that way -

Buck, I think at times you are one of 8 that have there eyes and ears still connected to a functioning brain brother. I was leaning towards a start in delivering as it seems the easiest to segue into a shop should that become a viable option in the near future (or distant future). I'm not in it to "get rich" so my pockets aren't deep now nor do I plan on them becoming that deep. Simple guy who thinks he was made to grow and has a lot of fans that like what I do. A simple small boutique that serves locally is all I want. I have always worked hard for what I have and what I have isnt much. I could see up to 5k annually for fees and licenses but any more and I'm priced out because I do not want to be the Wal-Mart of weed. A follow-up if there are lurkers in the know, how are you reporting earnings for taxes? I assume the guys with storefronts like in Ann arbor have to be doing something to pay the tax man but I have no retail experience. I've run a service of personal training and paid taxes but know nothing of the differences, if any, with retail. Pm welcome if you're shy.

I've considered trying out something like a delivery service myself. How exactly could a cg "vette" a patient before providing meds that is guaranteed to keep you insulated from porky the pig?

My thinking is to do as the provision centers do/did and retain a copy of the mmma card and license/id that match. Additionally u could require sponsorship by a current known legit patient as well.

Yeah, you're right on that. Trying to get a clear pic of where it's going so I can meet it with what I'm doing now and....obvious how that is going lol. Nobody has a clear pic of the future. Financing a facility big enough to supply the demand without immediate distribution networks that can cover costs and no true guarantee that you won't be slapped down and wiped out by John q law is a tough nut. No llc, to lease thru so I'm personally buying shit...etc. lots to figure out and big balls to grow.

The problem is, if one takes chances, they aren't looking at spending months in jail but years, maybe even decades locked up. Its too big of a risk to gamble, IMO

The is no way I go selling weed in Jackson, not on a mass scale. I'm just getting over passing a joint to another person inside the compassion club in Flint..call me a scary cat but I'm free and not locked up

Jackson had places but they all got raided and shutdown after the supreme court ruling yet some other cities-counties allowed dispensaries to go on, not so with Jackson I believe but then again, I haven;t been there in ages

The protection to be found in the type of agreements and affidavits I've suggested may very well be ruled on by the Supreme Court, along with other unspecified evidentiary issues. in Hartwick/Tuttle. If it goes our way it can help open possibilities of enough patient sponsorships using them to permit us to earn our 50K. I've always liked the notion that the law can open up a small cottage industry among those of us who use it. Oral arguments could come up at any time, and I am anxiously waiting to hear and to see the results.
