Any Canadian Growers?

It could work against you. When I was in the Canadian military I never saw more drug use than on the base! If some private finds your stash out there and he's from the east coast, say bye bye. Newfies and Nova Scotians love their weed as we do over in BC ha ha ha. The outdoor pics in the yard look really good. The ones out in the bush don't look so good. What does BBXXXL stand for? I'm not familiar with that strain. Patriot medicine is another one that is leafy I'm told but an early finisher. I haven't tried it but I do agree with BC digger that white grizzly finishes early september here in BC. I remember when you could get land in sk for under 10K out in the bush. I should have bought some then eh!

Its ina pretty well hidden area.

I agree with the gorillas not looking so great.. Out of my control, its minimal effort. Next year more fertilizer and more polymer pellets.

Here is the info on the Big Bud XXL it was an average producer. Smelled good and smoked above average. Potency was pretty good.

Lol thanks ya I've had a bit of practice with the white. I still have some WG waiting to finish. I start the beans on March 21. Veg inside, 24 hrs, lots of hardening off until May two four Then the stay outside with the photoperiod. I only grow outdoor. Not overly airy if you let them ripen, but all phenos I've seen are 75% sativa so they are airy compared to something like purple kush lol.
That's white grizzly? You the man! Mine never got that big. Was that indoors or outdoors? You did awesome with that. Would people buy that bud do you think or is it to airy? My white griz looked like a eaten corn on the cob and it was sold/spongy. It was awesome. Only did it one summer though.

That cola came from a 10 gal plastic pot. I had to get it to grow straight up above surrounding foliage so I trimmed off the bottom 6 nodes (4 true nodes) and this was the result.

The secret to Cola's like that are big containers, 20 gallon minimum. I think that is the most important lesson I have learned as a grower, next to water PH/TDS. I found my yields easilly doubled and trippled on some, just by upping my container size. 20 gallons are even to small if your planting in late May/early June, I had all my 20 gallons rootbound in six to eight weeks and I could only go and water every two weeks. I have found that even my autos are pulling 4 ounces minimum in these containers ( Cheese XXL Auto Dinafem). Don't listen to anyone when they tell you anything more than 5 gallons is a waste for autos, especially the 80 day autos and up. Anyway enough rambling, just wanted to share what I consider valuable info lol.

Awesome man that looks nice, nothing wrong with 10 either for sure! I don't think I'll go below 20 anymore outdoors, especially guerrilla style up here in the North haha.

Yeah. You guys are right. I tried raised beds hoping if I dumped a 30 litre bag on top of the ground the roots would go down into the earth and we'd be sweet. In some cases the roots did go down like in my swamp grow that got stomped on by the elk. I want to try that idea next summer. I'll try and use lots of soil instead of less per plant. I'm curious about the GEO pots above ground but that would definately mean more watering I think.

hey Folks I am at 45 latitude on the east coast. Growing White Domina and Mataro blue outside but looks like an October finish as they are only a couple weeks into bloom. The Mataro Blue is just under 6 feet and WD's are just over 5 feet. Both of these are from Kannabia seeds. I finished a Think Different auto early in a 5 gal bucket and I have to say it was a disappointment smoke wise, I would not grow again. Has anyone tried Texada Timewarp? Looking at it for next year

I have smoked texeda timewarp, but never grown
it. but its a tried and true canadian outdoor strain. i believe there are some fakes. but i think vancouver seed bank has the original. another one that will do well is BC Pinewarp its a cross of the time warp and purple pine berry. availible at bc bud depot

I'm trying feminized iranian OG kush and iranian haze from dr. greenthumb. Outdoors in BC along the coast. The iranian OG is in flower and they're starting to take the shape of buds as of sept 2nd. The iranian haze is a little slower and I won't know how either do until the end of september. But there's no way they are late august to early september finishers here in BC and that's why I bought these strains in the first place because of their description. It sucks balls when you watch the plant grow through the months and then they don't finish in BC before the cold sets in Oct 1 or thereabouts. But I am hoping they'll finish in time. To early to tell at this point in time.

Hey Buckets, most of mine are above ground too. I just use the regular growbags in 20 gallon size and find I can go about three times longer between watering than in the five gallon bags. In the ground ofcourse is always going to go longer than above in regards to watering, regardless the container size.

Hey Dr. Tomb nice grows man, I found the Cheese Auto XXL was awesome from Dinafem. Easily yield a QP outdoor in 80 days with minimal care or supplemental water ( Big Containers). The smoke is unreal but smells to high heaven, when it's ripe it'll stink your whole neighbourhood up unless it's already dry. I also like Super Lemon Haze it finishes in early October here in Northern Ontario with huge 3/4's of a pound yields per plant (easily), and it's the best smoke I've ever tried.

codster25, thanks for letting me know about your experimentation with the grow bags. You're talking regular plastic grow bags right and not smart or geo pots? I guess I'll just have to make make shift mini pallets and put some of them geo pots on them next summer. That's great to know about super lemon haze finishing in Canada outdoors. I'd have never thought that i would finish up here. Do you know if you get get super lemon haze in a feminized form that's reliable?

Thanks BC I was looking at Pinewarp already but had some concerns about the
Yield rating- can it really produce 3pounds??? Saw the Vancouver bank had seeds - F4 I think. How was the mold resistance? I started a White Domina inside and finished early out side in a 5 gallon bucket but had some mold right at the finish. It was insanely humid and wet at the time with high temps. She was pretty good smoke though - not hit you in face with with a brick but really good relaxing buzz that didn't put you to sleep. Her buds fattened nicely at the finish though. You read horror stories about BC Bud Depot has anyone had any issues? I like ordering seeds in Canada, less customs issues.

Anyone have a couple strains they like that are feminized?
Growing a couple now from Kannabia, really like White Domina so far but we will see if I can finish her without any mold issues. I am also growing Mataro Blue but have not finished one yet. I few a think Different auto early this year and it was shit. I would not grow again. It went into flower at 32 days but the smoke was not great at all and she had a terrible smell.

Hey Dr. Tomb, yes I mean regular black growbags about a dollar a piece at the local hydro store in Sudbury. Yeah I'm running Feminized Super Lemon Haze for the second time and I love it, last year it finished in early October and was awesome. I ordered my seeds from Single Marijuana Seeds Canada second year in a row and no prob making it over the border, once it came open but no probs. The seed runs me about $13 dollars a piece but it's worth it for sure, I love it and it gets you fucked up.
