Any Canadian Growers?

Took mine down on the weekend after cutting out a shit ton of mold on White Domina. Mataro Blue has less but most branch tips had issues. Too much rain and humidity at the end. They are hanging to cure now. Tried some of the quick dried moldy stuff and it was surprisingly not bad. I will post up how it turned out when it is fully cured. Did anyone have strains that did not have mold problems this year? I am looking at using some Canadian strains next year that are known for mold resistance - Pinewarp is a go for me from BCBD. What is the best Canadian strain you folks have grown? I have heard good things about Texada Timewarp as well but I have not seen in feminized seed form. I have limited space and can't afford to give a spot to something that could be a boy.For those of you that have finished how about a smoke report and or grow report......

I have no mild as far as I can tell, but we haven't had really had much rain.the plant is big bud xxl, however its still not ready to harvest. In my opinion. That means if it was a normal October, it probably wouldn't make it to a proper harvest. Thank god it's above the noms for weather right now.

Pulled mine about 10 days ago, dried, trimmed and curing. Dried, got 9.5 oz of platinum Bubba Kush and 1 1/2 oz of Jack The Ripper from the little outdoor ripper gal. Could/should have been a lot more but hey, it's pretty well free weed, no complaints here. Just pulled another 6.5 oz of indoor from 2 small plants, good week, love October ;)

Id say 9.5oz dry wieght is great off of one plant!
I wish! That was off 3 PBK's :( That PBK strain isn't a big producer though, most I got indoor off 8 wk veg/8wk flower was 1 1/2 oz, so it wasn't a terrible yield for the strain. It's all good, I'm just about to pull another 12 zips from an indoor 3x3 and I'm curing 17.5 zips total between these outdoor and some indoor pulled in the last few weeks ;)

If your looking for strains that are tested and grown for Canadian outdoors, check out rcmc seedbank. All there gear is made for early finishes and crossed for excellent mold resistance. I myself like the GG (guirella gold) strains and crosses. Always finished early September. Good yield and good potency. They have a lot of other strains that have been grown and proven to finish in canada.

I grew a Holy Grail Kush clone from a friend and yielded just under a pound dry. I was really picky with the size of buds I kept. Im going to make hash with all the smaller buds and sugar leaf. This plant had mold issues and I had to pull it a little earlier then I would have liked. Good smooth smoke that gets me where I need to go.

Would love to not worry about mold next year. I have some bubba kush x bubba kush from a local breeder I may try next year.
Mold sucks.....that is all...

I grow in my yard....spring is holes and mixing custom soil..then at least 3 buckings per season to open the middle of the plants for ventilation( by that I mean any interior branches less than 1/4"...they will never finish, but can help mold/rot develope), water pretty much every day from late June to mid Sept...feed soil 2 times in veg, once in flower...with the right soil you cut way down on feedings...just how I do my yard...;))

Thanks Bengi looks like there are a lot of strains of interest there. Not as many feminized but some good looking stuff. Which ones have you grown and how were the yields?

I never watered my plant. I did grow it in my garden under black plastic that I use for weed control. I amend my whole garden with cow and chicken manure. I didn't add any fertalizer at all and I grew a big plant. I did remove small branches from the middle of the plant to improve circulation and decrease mold. Im not sure if that helped, I probably lost a couple of ozs to mold. My plant got full sun from morning til night. I think that makes a huge difference.

Trimmed The Girls-Results

So i took my 2 girls down yesterday. They were Big Bud XXL grown in 5Gal buckets with soil. They did finish, i found maybe a gram of mold on one of the girls, nothing on the other. I would not grow this strain again at the 52 parallel, chances are in a normal fall they would not finish. They probably could have used a week or 2 more. The smell of one is a very sweet smell, where the other pheno had the same smell mixed with a pukey smell. The gloves were completely sticky and the buds were very leafy. So leafy in fact that with out my bud trimmer i think i would have spent a good 2 days trimming these. (Took 2 guys about 4-5hours with the help of the bud trimmer, after removing fan leaves and braking into proper sized buds)

Trimmed outcome from Plant A:

Plant B: 722.1g/25.78oz
Total: 1467.5g/52.4oz

Dry Estimate (Based on a 20% weight from wet to dry):
Plant A: 149.08g/5.32oz
Plant B: 144.4g/5.16oz
Total: 293.5g/10.48oz

Also have a 3 Large Ziplock bags full of shake to make hash with

Beautiful happy harvest :) ak48

No mold but they could have used a couple more weeks. The butter is outta this world. I spent a day wondering in the forest amazed at everything after eating a spoonful. It was great.

I did my first cross pollination a dark purple unknown freebie with a female ak48. I got over 100 seeds :) i wish i knew what the freebie was if anyone recognises it please let me know it's the purple leaved plant and came from nirvana.

Happy Halloween everyone i wish everyone a happy harvest:)
