Beautiful work Captain! Hopefully those Chaos seeds are made public :D

A few questions for ya if you don't mind-

For your ~525 ppfd, 2gpw grows, were you using the same one ocotpotted plant in a 3x3 setup? Very impressive numbers!
I plan on building my own, smaller version of the octopot. I see a line coming out of yours in a few pics.
Is that connected to an external res? Or is it a chiller or something... Do you add any nutes to the ocotpot res itself?

I plan on elevating my small octopot rig above a bucket full of water. I'll have a water pump set on a timer on the bottom of the bucket to fill the octopot res, and a drain hole just below the top of the net pot part.
I really like the idea of those things, but I need the watering to be automated. With your experience, do you think my plan is feasible?

Also, how'd your 730nm at lights off during 18/6 veg work out?

Thanks man

Yes those were 1 plant in a octopot in a 3x3.

I don't run with a larger res or chiller, just the standard octo and nutes.

You don't top feed with a octo, just fill the res.

Never ran 730 in veg,my strains are very vigorous in veg and flower.

So did your yields increase alot with octo pots? It's almost the same thing I'm doing pretty much with sip's now but I'm not using fabric pots but I could. The roots still get air from down below

I didn't get a real big bump like a lot of people have reported but I already had my strains dialed in and the COBs made the biggest difference in my yields, think my setup is just about maxed out but a higher PPFD may give me a bump. The octopots do give a big boost in veg tho, these two plants came out of my cloner the same size, one went into a 5x5 pot and the other went into a octo, pic speaks for itself.

I'd love to see a side by side in like sized pots.

If you look at the first grow in this thread I did 9 oz in a 5 gal fabric pots with a small plant. I do about 12 oz with a small plant in a Octo with about 5 gal of soil in it. Both are around the same amount of soil with small plants left to grow naturally.

So they're for sure worth it in your opinion.

I know the faq says heat isn't a problem but what do you think? If hid lighting was beating on it.

I tried them out because of the res,I can fill the res every two days in heavy flower and no pumps or temp worry about. The extra yield was a bonus so they work great for me,res can't get that hot,it's filled with water.
