Another Cree CXA3070 DIY Thread

I was about to put the order in for cxa3070 z2 chips when I got an offer for cxa3590 bd ( 2 step ) bin running at 36V. Does anyone have any input on this. Its not the 77V version so it looks more like the cxa3070 but run at more amps.
The price is going to be more than double, is it worth it. PS. Was going to run the cxa3070 at 750ma, what would I run the cxa3590 at, any ideas.

Thanks indianajones, but basicly YES.

I thought asking a few newbee questions would be ok.

If I have pissed you off well I will try and ask a few less obvious questions, but from where I am sitting and reading the pdf's on both chips its hard for me to define what the difference between the two chips are and I wanted an expert take on it.

If you are not too pissed off I would not mind getting your view, if you have one.

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any consensus here on RIU in the LED section about how we should report watts per sq/ft? My COB's are pulling about 52 watts each but should I be including what the driver and cooler fan pull? I've been including them in my sq/ft number.
Because some lamps will have more efficient cooling than others, some lamps use no cooling at all. Some lamps use 80% efficient drivers and some use 94% efficient drivers. So when it comes to W/sq ft I think LED dissiptation wattage is a decent measure. Unfortunately that does not take into account the efficiency of the LEDs which can range from 20% to 50%, so to take it a step further PAR W/sq ft really gives us a good measure.

My dissipation wattage is about 32W sq ft and efficiency is about 45% avg so that is about 15 PAR W /sq ft. I am very happy with the nug size from that intensity BUT if you are used to a 600 or 1000 HPS and you grow your ladies tall (5-6 ft) you wont get as much reach into the canopy and you might benefit from some side lighting in addition. Then again I am running at 800mA and many COBers are using 1.4A like the Cap so they must get better reach than I do.

I'm going up and hoping to get my hands on a high CBD strain with less than 2 % THC,the only one I know of is the Perkins cut of Catatonic.

Will TGA be there? They are testing some high CBD crosses.
I'm not sure if they'll be there, but their main distributer for the state is only about a half hour away from this event. I already have a Pennywise from TGA that tests at 8% THC and 8% CBD but I have someone looking for a no THC strain or at least less than 2 %.

It was good but I couldn't stay long. It was a smaller event and in a private park with tents and when I got there it had snowed and there was a inch of snow on the ground in the area. Got all glued up and my friend got a round of applause for doing her first ever dab. Things were starting to pick up around the time I had to leave.

Holy fucking shit .....can't think of much else to say hahaha. I had no idea those cxa cob had that much penetration! The lower nugs are even fat? Are they dense too? One: so mad i never cloned my ck as it yielded the best when i had it, Two: i guess ill have to jump on this cxa 3070 train!
I love this CK,yields are great and it came out at 25.7% THC when I had it tested. These CXA's are the real deal, watt for watt this yield will blow away any previous one Ive had by a large margin and I've been running it for at least 1 1/2 years and yes the bottom buds are solid. I plan on cutting the large stuff on top and giving the bottom half some more time, these big buds block a lot of light.
