Anime!

Now i haven't been on rollitup on a long ass time. But while i was away i started watching anime again. And it hit me. Anime is the biggest mindfuck ever. When your high or sober.
I watched a show Neon Genesis Evangelion, i was sober as i watched it due to subtitles but it sent me into a spiral of confusion and a headache, i plan on watching it again high to see if maybe i will understand it more somehow.

I was wondering if any of you watch anime or have watched anime high or just have something to say about watching anime high.

Im really tired so i really dont think this makes sense.

Yeah! really is. Its great they show it on Adult Swim at night so i don't have to watch it on my small ass computer screen

Adult swim shit is OK, theres obviously way better stuff. My experience is, you need to watch the epic one part movies, in japanese with subtitles. Any anime is better with subtitles in my opinion. Dubbing takes away from it if you ask me. For example you ever watch DBZ? sure, who the hell hasnt right? But if you watch it in japanese, rather than english dub, it just seems sooo much better.

3. Ghost in the Shell (movies 1 and 2 the series sucks ass, its way boring.)
4. Welcome to the N.H.K. (series.
5. ANY of the Evangelion stuff will make you say "what the fuck did I just watch?" (theres a few movies too)

Yup, i love the stuff. I'll watch just about any of them as long as they are not edited to shit so they can make it more appealing to kids, but lately the cell vs. gohan fight has been really good again after not seeing it for a few years, lol, that final kamehameha wave stuggle was the shit. Gives me goosebumps when im high. "Nows your chance!"
"But im perfecttttttt......" Unedited dbz is so much better than the shit they played on tv back in the day they edited the fuck out of it. It and unedited yu yu hakusho were the anime that i started on, then shortly after that i found inuyasha.
you follow any of the manga out there? I'm really into naruto and bleach right now, both manga are getting really good, one peice is ok but ive fallen behind w/the new chapters coming out lately. Shonen jump does the same thing as funimation did to dbz when they print em, My favorite site that had like every available chapter of any manga you could think of not edited for younger audiences just had to remove all their content(www.onemanga.com). I'm really bummed out about it.

The new evangelion rebuild they are doing is insane. the video quality is better and the animation is alot sharper. its just more condensed. Akira and ghost in the shell are both epics so they are good no matter what.

yu yu hakusho is the shit point blank
i watched the entire series on watch-yuyuhakusho.com all unedited episodes so its that much better
i just finished watching the 3 OVA's of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki
i thought it was great
its nice and light so it doesn't confuse you too badly

unedited yuyuhakusho has been really easy to find online for quite a few years now, i can still remember way back when i couldnt find any and they had completely stopped playing it on tv unedited, i also still remember being kind of shocked with some of the scenes and how much different they were. Shocked in a good way that is of course. I watched it the first time adult swim played the spirit detective saga up to the end of genkais tournament in a marathon one saturday night, first time it was played on american tv and it was unedited so i was almost instantly hooked.

Yeah.
It unedited sucked
it loses the feel that you get with such things as yusuke calling genaki a hag and such
i was hooked from the first episode
they truly did making it easy to watch but also really goddamn addictive

hellsing is some good shit too.

yeah, its the only anime ive seen to actually say fuck in it too. Man, now im gonna have to go find some episodes, that was a sweet ass show i totally forgot about for a while till now.

Gundam Wing was pretty tight
and any mecha
rurouni kenshin is also super tight
it has the historical feel that makes it so much better

What ever happens in the end of rouroni kenshin? i followed it for like 3 years but they stopped playing it long b4 the end. Have you ever seen or heard of gin tama? It's got a sort of similar yet not similar feel to it.

So, yu yu hakusho, who was your favorite villian? yomi, sensui or toguro or someone else? I cant choose between sensui or toguro, they both had such great stories and both were redeemed in the end(I thought so, how about you?). Sensui meeting his end by yusuke possesed raizen truly was perfect for his story and fit together so perfect when he revealed his true feelings ad his true desire. Toguro turned out to be a tragic case of not being able to forgive himself for not being perdect in the end too though and his final speech to genkai really got me too. Yomi was ok, but his story didnt really do much for me. Cept you notice they said kurama is about 300 yrs old yet yomi and raizen and makuro had been the 3 fueding lords of demon world the last 1000 years but yomi didnt become kind till after kurama left him......That always stood out to me.

I haven't actually seen the end
i saw the ova special reflections but that went way beyond the series and showed his death and shit
he died of like skin cancer or some shit in the end -_-

I always thought Kurama was atleast a 1000 years old because he fled demon world a thousand years before the story

and idk who my favorite villain is actually
i like the entire dark tournament arc is really was good for me
but the actual fight between toguro and yusuke kinda sucked

the one between sensui and yusuke was really good however and i enjoyed it alot
i like how yusuke came back and it did really fit in with the next arc
however i was annoyed they didn't have that much time with Hiei fighting

overall though i think in terms of fighting yomi takes it that fight was epic and it was yusuke at his true peak on his own without the help of raizen

thats why i liked the show so much
all the main villians are equal in there own ways
either in terms of story or the actual fight

it also had i think the best ending because it didn't leave you really angry at any characters or confused
it just left you with a feeling that yusuke would come back and kick serious ass

The manga ended way different, turned out king enma was corrupt and they were brainwashing innocent demons and releasing them in the human world. I cant remember why he was doing so though. I dunno man, I loved that yusuke vs. toguro. the thing with kurama is its only been 15 yrs since he was wounded by the sdf, right after he got hurt by them he fled to human world. I remember that part pretty clearly. Hiei vs. yusuke would of been great to see another one of, dragon enhanced hiei vs. yusuke w/his new energy would of been great.

i think it would be incredibly matched considering they are both S classed demons

It sucks we never really got to see hieis full potential, i mean sure he went all out w/sensui but that was b4 his training w/makuro, it would of been cool if he wouldnt of just played w/makuro their whole fight or had him go all out against yusuke(which would of been the better of the 2 options imo but i would of settled for him going all out on makuro.

Another awesome manga part that was left out was that the demon who sexually assaulted makuro her whole life(they also dont mention that part in the anime either. just that she was his slave,) but anyway, hiei goes out and finds him and then has kurama hook him up to a plant that will prevent him from dying(I dont think it was the same one he used on elder toguro, could be though) for her birthday so she can torture him to her hearts content. It sucks trying to find the manga now that www.onemanga.com had to remove all their content. I havent had much luck at it but its def. worth looking into, the endings of the manga and anime are so very different in ways.

hiei v. yusuke was my dream match
that or a three way match of hiei v. yusuke v. yoko kurama with normal kuramas personality

and yeah
i might have to torrent that series
i found a website that specials in all things asian and has a huge section for anime and manga torrents

they always alter the animes
thats why i liked cowboy bebop
its just an anime
and its really good

one show you guys have to try watching is fooly cooly or folly colly somthing like that
