And I'm Back...

Life threw me some turns this past spring/summer, ended up working most of summer in Atlanta. And worst part is, I had to give away ten GORGEOUS Durban Poison plants that were less than 3 weeks out of sprouting. Unfortunately the gent I gave them to, a fellow enthusiast and accomplished grower, had a girlfriend go batshit crazy and trashed his house, including his grow op.

Le sigh.

But now I'm back with my second official grow (and grow journal!) which will chronicle the adventures of ten Fruit Punch seeds from Heavyweight Seeds, via Midweek Song. The seeds all look great and they are sitting in rapid rooters right now in the tent that is to be their world, under their light.

Oh, you want specs? Fine, here ya go!

Strain: Fruit Punch (Leafly) (MWS)
Type: Sativa heavy
Sex: Feminized
Speed: 8 weeks flowering
Yield: 600g/m2
THC Level: 22%
Op: 4x4x7 tent
Light: 1000w
Medium: Hydro/Aero (a little of both, not true aero, but not full hydro either)

Quick props to Midweek Song for a fast, and trouble-free delivery! I'll keep this journal updated through the grow and try to post more each week. If I did my math right, these should harvest around Thanksgiving weekend, and be ready for Christmas smokage.

Ok, Christmas might be a little early, but goddamnit it's my smoke you can't tell me what to do!!! :)

Here's to you, doomed little Durban's. Long flower the Fruit Punch's! Well, for eight weeks, at least!

(Oh! And stay tuned, b/c I have some ideas for a really cool canopy management technique that I'm gonna try on these ladies!)

Learned a valuable lesson today.. there's a difference between netpots that barely have a rim on them and those with decent-sized rims. One falls RIGHT through the holes in your rails, the other doesn't. :)

Now I know!

One more quick note, and a longer post tomorrow or Tuesday...

After a quick trip to the local hydro store it turns out that there are two different things...

There's a net POT that has rims.

And a net CUP that does not.

Interesting. But I know which type to get going forward. :)

Hugs and smooches!
