I recently had the oppurtunity to buy a no name brand grow tent for 10 bucks. Its a 4x2x5 tent, has tons of light leaks and is not fit for photo plants in the least. However, for the price i couldnt resist. So now I have this tent, and I have a handfull of auto seeds I havent planted and since I have a big Mephisto order on the way I figured what the heck, lets have an experiment.
Normally I have my tents set up using a 1k HPS or a 600w HPS. Well I am a big saltwater aquarium keeper as well and as such I have loads of light fixtures laying around. I decided I wanted to see just what the difference will be If I used them instead of my normal lighting, seeing as how, they are already being used on a grow.
What I have is 4 Heavy Weight Fast and Vast Fem Autos, in 3gal grow bags. I am using the same soil and nutes as always, the change will be in lighting.
The fixtures I am using are a 250w MH with a 10k bulb, 2 24w t5ho lamps with true actinic spectrum, a 165w full spectrum LED, and a 72w Full Spectrum . I may add in another Fixture as time permits but right now that is the set up.
What are your thoughts and expectations?
