I'm not sure I'm reading your question right, if a full dose is 4ml then half would be 2ml but if it's stating that a dose is 4 ml go with half of that. Half a tsp is just about 2.5 ml so either way you will be fine. I've been using full strength on mine, but I don't feed it as often as the photo that it's with.
