amending native soil advice please

I found a few good spots that get decent light and are secure. The thing is though its atleast an hour hike to them. So I will be going early in the mornings with two backpacks one with plants in party cups atleast a few weeks old. One backpack I will be bringing nutes and amendments such as lime and guanos. The native soil is not that bad its loaded with earthworms . I was wondering what amendments would be best that would fit in one backpack that I could mix with the native soil and plant maybe ten plants per trip. Is this possible? I live somewhere that doesn't have much of a long season at all so I will be harvesting every couple months hopefully. I got the dolomite lime and a couple different guanos but I would like to know what would be the best route for me. Been working a lot so I got some cash to drop for the nutes. I'd like it to last till harvest that way I don't need to keep making trips feeding. Also got a big bag of water crystals which has worked great for me in the past. Any help is much appreciated.

If the soil is full of earthworms, I would figure the soil would be good enough for the plants. You plan on providing any protection against bunnies or deer?

That is a great way to tell soil conditions, by the amount of earthworms. I don't know if you are able to have access to any farm fertilizers or not, but light amounts of 46-0(urea), 11-52,0-0-60 with a little micro nutrients will supply your babies all season long. I am a farmer, and alot of people are asking for fert, maybe I could set something up to supply fert and info on using them. Dealing with commercial fert, you have to be careful, because you can burn your plants if you use to much. Grow happy and have fun.:-P:leaf:

Can't go wrong with Blood meal, Kelp meal, Bone meal, Green sand, and perlite.
Definitely want to go with fish meal rather than bone meal or blood meal due to prion (mad cow disease) particles. They can be transferred to the plant as they never break down. also what kind of soil are we talking about here? if it's too sandy i wold add vermiculite, too clayish add more perlite and or sand to the mix. also egg shells are great, and maybe some unsulphered blackstrapp moles asses would be great 4 your plants as well :)

Man did you freak me out, I went back and read my post like 3 times. I now realize you meant if somebody asked for it in the future. Thanks for keeping me in line though.

The soil is more like clay but there is rocks and stuff . I was going to add perlite or even coco coir but I really doubt I need it since there is soo much earthworms when I dig I know they are doing there job loosening the soil for me. Plus perlite usually sticks out like a sore thumb. I do have a bottle of fish emulsions but I was hoping to just get powderd nutes and I'm gonna stray away from chemical ferts since I love how organic herb is. I'm just growing for personal use I know ten plants sounds like a lot but the plants don't get very big here unless sativa dominate. I don't want them to get very big and noticeable anyway. I do have access to a store with a great selection of organic nutes I just want to know what would be the best and most efficient so I aint killing myself hauling things I don't really need. I don't need to worry about animals here. I also did buy a bucket of trace minerals which the guy at the plant store said all the outdoor guys use. I do have some nutes in liquid form but don't want to use them outside since I'd have to haul multiple jugs of water a good distance. Wouldn't be so bad if it was flat ground that I'm hiking but its not. The only time I probably will hike jugs is with mollasses since that seems to work great on frosting up bud and feeding the microherd. Mychrorizae is a must also for me . got me a few mold resistant strains already to handle my climate. Texada timewarp, reefs early purple kush and ssh. I know the ssh will probably veg through long season. Gonna try to train her to stay short If she gets too big I'm just gonna chop her down and take some cuts since I noticed cuts usually mature faster than from seed imho. I appreciate all the help guys thanx a lot brothers

Wow dude, you got it down pat. Are you going to do a diary? i would love to see this pan out. Btw don't trip about what i said earlier i was projecting my fears of a barter i was doing with a RIU member but everything turned out just great, so forget i said never.. just be REALLY careful.

No diary, personal reasons. Just hoping to get some good meds that will last me for awhile. Picked up some organic time released Whitney farms all purpose fertilizer. It's loaded with beneficial fungi and it's derived from blood meal, bone meal, alfalfa meal, dried poultry waste and kelp meal. Says it last 6-8 weeks , that's right up my alley. I was suprised it actually had more beneficials than happy frog peace of mind ferts. Happy frog only has the endo mychorizae Without any ecto I'm pretty sure if I remember correct. I might throw up pics but that's way down the line still gotta pop beans. I also plan on using diatametious earth around the base of the plants to prevent any insects or atleast slow them down some. Any more input will be great my brethren.

I shouldn't have bought that fertilizer now I'm worried about that mad cow disease. Has anybody even caught it from using ferts? Should I just use gloves when handling it? I guess I'll feed some to my dog before I give it to the plants LOL jk.

I not completely sure of this but I don't think the prion(mad cow disease) is able to pass this way. I am going to do some reasearch and will get back to you. Grow happy and have fun.

I got so worried I posted it in the general growing area and I got a pretty quick reply . Not so worried anymore still gonna make sure I wash hands after handling. It got like 100 views in a short time so that tells me there is a bunch of other growers concerned about it to. Not to worry hopefully I didn't get the bonemeal from some foreign country that likes to feed their cows sick and diseased cow meat.

Two days from now I'll be going to the spot and prepping it. Digging atleast five gallon holes for each plant going to apply dolomite lime , two different guanos and some Whitney farms all purpose ferts all organic. A few days later I will be bringing the girls to the spot. Very excited about this crop. My only concern is thieves. Since it's such a far hike it will be unlikely bit anything is possible. Choppers fly often so I'm gonna try my best to make the spot stealthy.

Bone meal isn't derived from cows anymore. Just read the package. Every package I've read is from pig bones, steam sterilized. No way could you pass a Bovine pathogen through the soil through a plant through a pipe through a ......please.

Good info to know! I still am going to use gloves plus it helps me grip the pick better for digging. I hope this crop goes well. I really hate buying weed.
