Amber Glass BHO

What temperature did you purge on? I don't like the look of the finished product as much. As for the squeezing, I don't think so. I believe you need heat or a vaccum in order to allow most trapped butane to escape.
this time i didnt even have the skillet on 200F, so it was prolly like 120ish in the pyrex, but i cant really say for sure..i got the piece of wax still just sittin out, its becoming less waxy, and seems to be hardening, so im not exactly sure how much tane is left, but in a couple days or so ill try the flame test, if its still sparkin off, ill prolly just throw it in food saver

@ matt def needs to be done outdoors. If you squat down while the product is being cooked down in hot water the fumes are literally pouring down the sides of the dish.I heard my friends cousin did it in his garage were the water heater was. BOOOOOOOOOM.Wasn't big exsplosion but big enough for him to listen to us when we told him outside.

i understand the risk involved in making BHO, and IMO, it not a big one... be smart, have good ventilation/air flow, and dont spark anything up while extracting and you should be straight, simple simple....i would imagine the poeple "blowing themselves up" are the kind of growers who do BHO runs daily, and eventually get careless (or drunk) and try to light a cig (or spliff) while runin the butane, ahha
This statement is disappointing. You wont be thinking there is not a big risk when you melt your face off and no one will even look at you like a human any more. All it takes is a LITTLE TINY spark, like say STATIC electricity, or a TEXT message on your cell phone. NOT just a dumbass trying to spark a cig. It only takes one little mistake and your life could be changed forever over a little get high. Take it seriously and get the fuck OUTSIDE. I would image the people "blowing themselves up" are people like you. :hump:But anyway, your stuff looks pretty good, and I agree low heat would be better.

okay i gotta say this most explosions happen when immature kids who think there superman do things "their" way and get their ass blown up

you will never have a problem with a butane explosion if you do all your blasting outdoors everything else can be done inside

if your oil has settled outside and isnt bubbling up a storm there isnt enough butane to cause a problem then it can be taken indoors

just do all your blasting outside people no ifs and or buts if its in the middle of winter

oh well grab a tub and fill up with some warm water

the closest thing i got to a explosion is when the threads on my cap failed and the can came shooting in my face

my freinds saw a confetti of compressed butane and groundt up bud

Do you think it auto buddered on you because of the low purge temp? There seems to still be a lot of tane left, but I'm no expert since all of my runs seem to to into a hard clear shadder, never really tried to get that kind of budder. As for throwing it in a food saver, the only way you could vaccum out butane is if you heated up your solution to decrease the viscosity. It's hard to purge a solid chunk ya no?

yea, i think temp has alot to do with it consistency, but i dont think consistency has that much to do with how well its been purged ... if that makes any sense, ahha, but if i were to vac purge, i would defiantly heat it up too

also, i am curious how this works? my amber glass got me high as iv ever been, im talkin middle school again, ahha, so any change wasnt super noticeable, other than the extreme concentration...i tryd lookin at wikipedia, but didnt really find much on the change heat brings to the cannabanoids molecularly.. maybe you can hook me up with some literature on this?
I did some space queen amber glass last week. Heated to 250. It hits like pure thc. Highest I've ever been off bud (not including edibles). But there were so little other cannabinoids it wasn't even that enjoyable. I'm scared to hit it again.

Learned that the hard way myself. Luckily it was with very small amounts. Even with a very small boom there was still a fire and I came with in a second of burning the whole house down. While a lot of my hair and eyebrows burnt off, somehow I got very lucky and didn't get any burns on my face. The skin on both of my hands melted off and that was extremely painful. It's a lot of fun putting out a fire and driving yourself to the ER with 3rd degree burns on your hands watching chunks of skin fall off then trying to explain to the ER nurse what happened while two cops are standing right behind her.

I thought I was really clever blowing out the pilot light then switching off all the breakers except for the one I used to power my electric stove so I could boil water. I turned off the stove breaker right before starting it so I figured I was all good. But then after I made it when I went to get my hot water, I tapped the handle of the pan where the pan was on the burner it created a very very tiny spark and that was enough. No electricity or open flames in the whole house. Very tiny amount. Was only trying to make a gram or two for personal use. That was enough to put me in the ER and keep me in bed so drugged up on pain pills I couldn't do anything, but still in total pain.

So yeah, if you think it's not a big risk, you're wrong. It is no matter how careful you are. You do NOT want even a small cloud of butane gas inside your house. It's just not worth it. Bad day to make it outside? Wait until it's a good day. It's really not worth it.

i am truly sorry to hear this, but im glad your ok bro, one of the main reasons i want to make more BHO videos is to stress the importance of doing it outside, somthing not alot of people do in their videos, i feel lucky that my indoor run went smoothly with no problems

Hey don't take offense, because I'm going to point out the falsehoods in your post.
okay i gotta say this most explosions happen when immature kids who think there superman do things "their" way and get their ass blown up
WRONG, EXPLOSIONS ARE HAPPENING TO GROWN ADULTS, USUALLY MEN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 20 AND 45

you will never have a problem with a butane explosion if you do all your blasting outdoors everything else can be done inside
SO SO SO WRONG. STATIC ELECTRICITY WILL SPARK PAN FIRES, THAT CAN IGNITE YOUR TUBE AND CANS.

if your oil has settled outside and isnt bubbling up a storm there isnt enough butane to cause a problem then it can be taken indoors
TRUE, THAT IS A HUGE IF. SOME ADULTS JUST BLEW UP THEIR FREEZER/HOUSE TRYING TO PURGE IN IT.

just do all your blasting outside people no ifs and or buts if its in the middle of winter

WINTER BRINGS LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY WHICH DRASTICALLY INCREASES THE CHANCE OF STATIC FIRE

oh well grab a tub and fill up with some warm water

the closest thing i got to a explosion is when the threads on my cap failed and the can came shooting in my face

PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PARTIALLY BLINDED FROM THIS

my freinds saw a confetti of compressed butane and groundt up bud
Thanks for letting me use your post as an example. The misinformation you posted is common "knowledge" and needs to be corrected. Too many explosions are happening.

Yo Matt Rize, nice corrections but aren't you stressing static a little too hard for outside? Outdoors is a whole different ball park, I thought butane can't pool up as easy outdoors.

grown adults? are they really grown and adult and mature if they dont do the research?

dude i dont use any metal outside static what? im not whearing i giant wool shirt whilst blasting bho

and im telling you if you know someone that blew up their fridge purging it im telling you they put it into purge to early or when their was still significant amounts of butane

ive never had a static shock out side in the winter man

and people have been partially blinded from caps shooting at their face? that sucks still not my fault they didnt check their threads

like when i did it i was dumb and didnt check the threads

my point is the way your stressing about it is good

but your stressing way to much on static electricity outdoors

i wanna see the videos of pyrex pan fires that happened due to static electricity outside

(i have never expereinced this)

i didnt take offence matt i just think that the way you are going about this saftey buisness is overkill alot of the stuff you are saying

it could happen but is highly unlikely especially outside

if you think someone isnt smart enough to be doing the extraction they shouldnt it should be plain and simple

i just think if my 60 year old buddy can understand and get the jists of bho saftey why cant we?

ive workedwith harsh chemicals all my life and the way ive been doing the extracting is the safest way yet

as well matt the explosions are again hapening cause of idiots give me the articles that list and actually show the circumstances of the explosion on it

9times outa 10 a butane explosion happens indoors not out

The problem being the misinformation out there. You can do a lot of research and still get it wrong due to being misinformed.
