hey all!

i have a little problem. my flower area is getting too small (height-wise) for plants that need about a month or so more to flower.

truth be told -- they have to be cut. i want to go about it the best way though.
should i harvest all of the plants that are too tall? which would yield about 40-50 good sized clones (1 1/2 inches or longer) per plant
should i just clone the parts that are too high to get enough light? which would be about 40-50 between all the tall plants
just cut off the parts and toss them cause their useless?
just let the heat from the lights burn it off?

from what ive read, the best time to clone is toward the end of the vegetation cycle, but has anyone had success with plants that have already begun budding?

thanks!

clones taken in flower are definetly possible but they are weaker and take longer as the hormones change in flower. i have succesfully taken cuts in flower if its a good strain its worth the trouble. i have never cloned the top of a plant though good luck.

The "strains in question" are bubblegum and afghan mazaar from marijuana-seeds.nl

Which strains did you have success with?

yes i've cloned off a flowering plant before like bike rider said they take longer, mine took 4 weeks, 2 weeks to get roots and 2 weeks to start producing new growth.

o ya i think the plant had been in bud 3 weeksish

if your not to worried about the harvest of the taller plants then you can lower them by a bending meathod known as super croping. On the horizontal stalks still under light but connected to tall unlit top of the plant pinch till you feel the crunch of the fibers then bend, not to soft cuz it will return to standing growth, not to hard you will kill the arm and possible shock and stun growth. Any breaking on stalk will be healed just allow three days of normal growth cycle to ensure the plant is fully healed before going about being more then say 2 or more horizontal stalks. Tell me how it goes...

im very familiar with super cropping, the plants in flower actually were supercropped during veg.

i read that veg stimulates stem growth and flower stimulates bud growth (primarily) and that you are not supposed to supercrop when in flower -- is this not true?

whats with the fucking giant sig....? ..are you so retarded that you cant find your post's?..god i love the ignore list..ok back to the topic..i have cloned as far as 2 weeks into flower , meaning for ex: jan 1st 12/12 cloned as late as jan 15th ..but the plant's took 6 days to show sex..so im saying i took clones 8 days into bud or flower..and it works just fine..hope that helps
