Am I on the right track with these seeds & clones

Brand new to growing (actually grew 30 years ago with seeds in dixie cups on the window sill) and want to know what to expect.

Pictures 1 through 3 - The seeds are Afgooey and are 6 days old. I have them under a 150 CFL about 1" away. How do I tell how much water they need. I'm keeping them around 70 degrees.

Picture 5 - Also, I have 4 grape ape clones that are 10 days old. I'm keeping them moist in a zip lock bag exhaling into the bag a couple of times/day. How long before they usually root? For right now I just have them under the CFL.

How soon before the seedlings should be repotted and into what size container? Then what light is suggested?

Thanks.

MJ likes dry soil just as much as wet. Get the soil soaked then don't water for up to a week. water when the soil is bone dry and before the plants start to wilt and you are golden. Once they have 2 weeks veg done, move them to larger containers that will last until you are almost ready to flower, then you will transplant 1 last time. Add lots of Perlite to the soil next time, at least 40% of the mix will be perlite. There is two thing new growers do more than anything, that is over water and over fertilize. Don't be a statistic.

The 150 CFL will veg those plants just fine, probably 2 foot tall then you would switch to at least a 250 watt HPS light, preferably a 400 watt HPS light for flowering. If you want even faster vegetative growth, try adding another 150 Watt CFL to the mix. Temps of 70-80F are good.

Not sure whats up with the 4th pic, you don't usually clone plants in bags and breathe into them, i don't quite understand what your trying to accomplish with that, might need clarification. Normally I have roots coming out of my cuttings in around 10 days, but i don't use bags, nor breathe into anything. Once they root and become clones I just veg them as usual.

Thanks - the place I got the clones suggested that they be kept in a bag for a couple of weeks. They were cut, dipped in root clone and placed in individual pots with soil/perlite. I never tried clones before.

Thanks for your help with lighting. I appreciate it.
