Am I crazy or are these Yields "normal" these days?

Today I googled "Yield per plant" and found tons of the normal bullshitting. While sifting through it all I noticed pretty much everyone was saying 4-5-6 average per plant, and then there were the people saying they were hitting 8-9-10 with a long, 2+ month veg, but ONLY with a long ass veg. Most of the posts I was reading were from 2010/11/12...

I'm currently getting about 10-12 per plant with a 28 day veg in 5 gallon coco pots, and I know a few other people are right there with me in various other hydro media.

Did the technology and fertz and things get that much better over the past few years, or am I just getting lucky?

Both. As the tech has improved allowing better understanding of nutrient uptake in plants, different grow mediums, techniques, better quality lighting, plus the improved genetic stock year by year as we breed for success. Add to that the fact that obviously by now, you have dialed your own grow down to a science. You know every inch of your grow, side to side top to bottom.

On top of that... yea you prolly got a little luck goin for ya, feel free to share more info on your grow op, I am about to dive into a hydro grow in a few weeks.
http://cch2o.com/products/hydroponic-systems/uc4/ This crazy thing, local shop gave it to me, was the old floor model, so only ever ran water. Currently planning on 6" RW cubes w/ coco around it, and AN nutes (cuz I already have them on hand, i know, i know...)

what UOM are you using? ounces? pounds?

outdoor you can get multiple lbs per plant, easy. indoor, not so easy. yield is just a function of genetics, veg time, and environment

Indoors. Yes, I know the equation of yield, I just saw everyone who was hitting 10+ said they vegged for 2+ months, and I'm doing it in 28 days repeatably. Probably going to have some 12+ this run.

I am talking ounces.

No my question wasn't that, and I was hoping I wouldn't get the immature bullshit responses claiming I'm bragging or lying. I am being serious and curious. And like I said I'm not getting better yields than anyone else, I know a few other people in the local mmj area that are doing similar things with other strains than my own. With the technology and knowledge thats floating around now I don't see why this is hard to believe.

If you get 12 dry oz per plant then you have done extremely well indoors. If your outdoors growing large plants then you about average. For me I get about 2 to 3 dry oz per plant doing hydro with 2-3 week veg and 6-7 weeks flower with finished plants under 3 feet.

Can you give some specifis.. Your averaging 10 plus dried oz per plant ..Indoor or outdoor? Hydro soil, soiless?? Strain? Veg time flower time and how much light as yes 10 dried oz per plant is alot indoors .

I should have included my setup in my OP, I apologize. I'm actually scouring all my picture data right now, mainly the dates, just to make sure I'm really vegging for what I'm saying. This run I have now was 29 day veg, counting as day 1 when they were planted in the coco, day 29 was when they were flipped.

My setup is:

9'x9'x8' Room, Panda film over all 6 sides.
6- 1kw lights, 4 HPS SolarMax SuperHPS, 2 Solarmax MH Conversion , set up in two rows of three, sealed and air cooled in Blockbuster 8" reflectors with a 800CFM fan.
24,000BTU AC Ducted to prevent light leaks to outside.
Standard 4.5 Gallon pots with Botanicare "brick" Coco, hydrated with 200ppm CalMag+ and Roots excel
Upon planting clones, I run a "flush mix" of 200ppm CM+, 200ppm Botanicare CNS Grow, and Roots Excel, @ 6.0pH. I run 5 gallons through each pot on the initial watering to flush and begin to "charge" the coco.
After that, in veg, they get watered once a day, 0.5 gallons each, of the same mix above, for 14 days.
From day 14-28 Veg, they just get 500ppm mix of CNS Grow/Roots Excel only.
Day 1-14 Flower I use 7.5ml CNS Grow and 13.5ml CNS Ripe, along with the roots excel, coming out at 800ppm and 5.9-6.1 pH. In flower they each get 1 gallon a day, regardless of runoff.
Day 15-45 I use 5ml CNS Grow and 15ml CNS Ripe, no more roots excel.
Day 46-54 I use Just 20ml CNS Ripe.
Day 55-56 They get RO water only
Day 57-58 They get nothing, I let them dry up completely, then harvest.

The room itself is at 75 watts per square foot, or about 10,000 lumens per square foot.
Day time Temps are 82-84, night time 78-80. humidity ranges from 40%-70% depending on what the dehumidifier and AC are doing at the time.
CO2 is 900-1100 PPM, compressed gas injected into one of the AC ducts with controller, daytime only. Same room and environmental parameters are used for Veg.

Strain is "Smile" by Kannabia Seeds, 1 phenotype picked from 20 seeds started years ago.

I believe you. My worst yielding strain get's me 5 ounces of dried cured bud from 5 gal coco veg'd 30 days under a single 600. CNS nute's also. I don't use the ripe, only grow, bloom and hydroplex.

Where did I not talk about lighting? I think I gave more info than usual, including Watts psf and Lumens psf. Would you also like the PAR watts psf? The luminous intensity readings at different buds? The only hardcore scientific conclusion I've reached so far is you have poor reading comprehension.

Thanks, Jar, at least I'm not alone.

I love how negative this fucking community has gotten over the years. Everyone must be lying, bragging, or bullshitting right?

Going by the picture data, the dates on the pics go like this for this run:

7/13/14 Planted clones (remember these were monster cropped so they take awhile to get going. Disregard the two larger plants on the end, those were for a different run.

7/22/14 Next updated picture I took.

8/11/14 I flipped them to Flower and took a pic.

9/05/14 Next update, Day 24 Flower, few pics.

9/15/14 Next update, Day 34 Flower, few pics.

Today is Day 40, and I'll take some pics when lights go out.

Also found some BR on one bud today during my normal sweep, struggle is real :(. Going to up my dehumidifier status tomorrow.

Why we all have to hate on each other I have no idea, but I'm not here to talk myself up about shit, I'm trying to have a fucking meaningful conversation with you guys.

I think its cause your running 6 1000w bulbs . I can get 4-6 of a plant but I only have 1 light so if I stick 3 plants under 1 light and each one gets 4-6 for a total say 12-14 but thats off 1 light . If u have 6 lights devided over less plants they should yield more right
