How are you doing guys i knw this is an older post but i didn't knw Nevada had a group on hear or else i would have been hear sooner.(Lol) I made a small group called SinCitySmokersAndTokers hope to see some of you guys come visit. I am also new to the grow world and an outlaw at the moment unfortunately as my funds won't allow me or my fiance to get our cards, she sufferers frm chronic migraine headaches, i suffer frm back spasms. I would lyke to learn about becoming a care giver or work in a shop or a co/op. But till then i would like to meet, interact, and learn as much as i possibly can about growing Ms. Mary Jane i have sent a few friend request to some of you it would have been all of you but my fingers got tiered. So if you didn't get a request frm me i hope to get one frm you or see you in the group. Till then see you guys later and happy growing.

Goin' through the process now. Dr Reefer has a website. It shows you the steps. Its not as easy as Cally but its not THAT bad. The state pretty much looks the other way. Just like everything else they are only interested in the money. Although I think the dispensaries are not exactly LEGAL. They are just not enforced on the state level. Although the Fed did raid in October for that very reason.

Sec. 38. Use of plant of genus Cannabis for medical purposes.
1. The legislature shall provide by law for:
(e) Authorization of appropriate methods for supply of the plant to patients authorized to use it. [http://leg.state.nv.us/Const/NVConst.html#Art4Sec38]
NRS 453A.300 Acts for which registry identification cardholder is not exempt from state prosecution and may not raise affirmative defense; additional penalty.
(f)Delivering marijuana for consideration to any person, regardless of whether the recipient lawfully holds a registry identification card issued by the Division or its designee pursuant to NRS 453A.220 or 453A.250. [http://www.leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-453A.html#NRS453ASec300]
It appears the only thing the legislature provided was a loophole to throw medical patients through.

no dispensary is legal in vegas..they just raided 6 more last week, and this time arrests were made. they havent raided mine yet, so we've taken ourselves off weedmaps(thats where the lazy piece of shit LEO were finding everyone)and we took all the weed out, we just have healing herbs now until this shit blows over a bit. im really starting to hate cops.

It's not every day you hear of some one acting on foresight, nice work.
i just knew it was gonna happen to us next..i have my mother working in the shop, and the last thing i want was some douche DEA shoving a M4 in her face and slamming her around and cuffing her. so now when they do their "raid" there is only gonna be holistic healing herbs on the premises, no weed, or weed products. we are "the herbal connection" after all!!

High all! I moved to Reno about a year and a half ago. I'm looking to get me and my wife MMJ cards. Just one question does getting a card screw with your health ins?

Hi! :)

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking if your health insurance company can cancel your policy if they find out you and your wife are legal medical marijuana card holders?

Thanks for the clarification. According to the Americans for Safe Access website: "Nevada does not require an insurance carrier to reimburse you for the cost of your medicine." It doesn't say anything about canceling a policy. If it doesn't mention it I assume it's not an issue.
Your insurance carrier may have a clause about marijuana and other substances in your policy. I'd read through it very carefully before I add my insurance company to my "need to know" list.

Good and important point. I'm a little surprised that ASA doesn't mention that! I thought they were the go to people for this sort of thing. Ah well - live and learn.
