Alcohol Tincture

Can anyone tell me how many grams of Cannabis they have used in how much high proof alcohol (95% everclear) to prepare a tincture.

I would like to know the concentration in grams of Cannabis per mL of alcohol.

Also describe the effects and strength of that concentration tincture.

I do not like the intense Cannabis effects with some edibles. They are way too strong and intolerable for me.

Thanks guys

I don't know if this thread will give you the answer's you're looking for, but it's all I got.

.

I water hash my leaf and dissolve as much of it in 151 proof rum as the alcohol can hold in suspension. Better tasting - none of that putrid stench taste - and it makes the most saturated solution that I'll get from that resin.

Ok, I use 1/2 ounce of good weed along with a half pint of everclear. But a good rule of thumb is this:

1) make sure the cannabis is ground finely
2) no matter how much cannabis you use, you want the alcohol level to just barely rise above the cannabis level in the container.
3) give it a good shake every day, and let it sit for at least a week.

Strength? Depends on your quality of cannabis, but in general, very strong. If you don't like edibles, you probably won't like the tincture either, because it will be just as strong as the edibles and will hit your system even faster.

Effects? Depends on the type and quality of weed. You might try an indica instead of a sativa or vice versa. I smoke sativa and put my indica in edibles.

You can always cut back on the amount that you consume if it's too strong. The thing that a lot of smokers don't realize about any ingestible method is that you need to give it time to digest before you grab another hit cause ingestibles don't work as fast as smoking it (though they can be more potent when all is said and done.) That can be up to a couple hours digestion time. The mistake I made at first was thinking that it wasn't that strong so grabbing another brownie. Then, when they both end up hitting your system its way too much.
