Well I found some seeds from a website. 10 seeds for $15 so thats not too bad. Can anyone tell me some info about AK-48? Thanks.

AK strains first started emerging in the mid-1990s. The most well known of the series is AK-47. AK-48 is it's close relative.
AK-48 is notorious for being an early-finishing indoor strain that produces tough, resilient buds that pack a potent aroma.

AK-48 has been known to finish in 48 days (hence the name) if everything goes well and the plant is well-maintained AK-48 itself is short, squat, bushy plant and an indica/sativa hybrid. You can really notice AK-48's sativa qualities in the high.
A great plant to start with for beginners.

AK-48 can bounce back from a missed feeding or an over-watering. Though it is not recommended. It's also a great strain for more advanced growers due to its potency and high yield. Not known for good tasting buds, AK-48 produces sticky, dense nugs that hold a powerful high. And, sometimes even a contact high.

I would have to disagree with you there. (no disrespect ment) I would say you either had some from someone who didn't grow it right, or got a strain from a company that sucks.

AK-48 IS pretty good bud when grown correctly. The thing is, I have found it takes about 60 days to finish flowering. The AK-48 I tasted was vegged for 28 days and flowered for 64 days if my memory serves correctly.
I think some people hear the "48" and harvest too early. the last 2 weeks the buds REALLY fattened up. Make sure the plants are ready for harvest, before you harvest NO MATTER WHAT STRAIN YOU GET!

Perfect strain for a SOG. fuck im going to pick me up 40 of them... with 1000w HPS/MH... 48 days later... finished bill would spike 50bucks for 48days then go away... our hot water is turned low.. so it would look normal..then go back to the same... perfect for SOG.

Nirvana came out with a AK-47 4 or 5 years a go and after a year or so changed the name to AK-48, so AK-48 just what Nirvana now calls its AK-47. 60 to 65 days to finish, though hours and spectrum of light, nutes and the pheno will very this. Also I think most people crop a bit too early, though some may thank that I'm too late. With a 16x to 20x loup look at the tricombs, when can you can first see a slight amber tint they are ripe to crop.

What the fuck? Why are all of you offering advice that YOU DON'T HAVE? Jah be bullshit, trying to look like you know something because you have an Internet connection and know the difference between a sativa and indica.
The AK-48 is so-named so that it could capitalize off of the fame of AK-47, it HAS NO GENETIC RELATION! Also, Nirvana didn't create the AK-47; Serious Seeds did. That, one of you assholes didn't even pull off the Internet. You pulled it straight out of your ass.
AK-48 is highly hybridized, but isn't related at all to the AK-47. That, I would assume, is why it's known for growing so hardy and putting out such a large crop.
It doesn't finish in 48 days generally, although it is rumoured to in what Nirvana describes as "optimal conditions". It also puts on a lot of weight and crystal in the last few weeks, so why would you even?
I know this is an old post, but this is the sort of bullshit that typifies marijuana growing, and dumb people trying to look like experienced growers make it a lot harder for people that ACTUALLY need to grow, so I put this up to correct the fools and iterate, FUCK THEM.

Oh we're cool hermano. I was referring to those giving MISinformation, which is the vast majority of people on this thread. I guess that makes you the exception.
Yeah I was pointing out that it WAS developed by Serious Seeds; some joke said that Nirvana created AK-47. I would have much greater respect for Nirvana if that were the case.

Nirvana's genetics are crap, Do you really believe that a seed bank that has that many strains at that cheap of price can really compete with Serious Seeds AK47 get real!
