My g/f has been praising Ak-47, saying it is one of the best strains she has ever smoked.

But i have heard of Ak-48...

so my question is: whats the difference? Im guessing 48 would be stronger than 47. could any1 give me more definite answer?

thanks:peace:

I have never grown AK48 but I have AK47 growing now and have had it for several months. It is without a doubt one of the best strains I have ever grown. Easy to grow...huge yields (for me at least)...potent smoke and a smell that will turn heads across the room when you pull out your stash.

I would agree with your girlfriend, it is one of the best smokes going. I think alot of people overlook it because, for some reason, everyone wants the latest greatest "named" herb. That doesn't always translate into the best one to grow and smoke.

If you have never tried AK, do it now. You won't be disappointed. Oh, by the way, I will be glad to get your girlfriend stoned on some killer AK47 anytime she wants.

ak48 is not a very good strain in my opinion. think of ak47 as a truck full of ice cream, now think of ak48 as an ice cream truck with no air conditioning.

AK47 is where its at.

AK-48 is white widow crossed with ice...I've grown both individually...they are both superior smokes. Obviously by combining the two into one and you'd be an ass to say it is somehow inferior to AK-47

It's all completely subjective...really now!

I have never grown AK48 so I really have no idea which is better. However, I do know the consistancy is better with the AK47. It's just a genetics thing and I should know because I grow with "knockoffs" more than I do "breeders" seeds. My experience is that the breeders seeds are usually more robust and the phenos are not all over the lot like knockoffs.

In any event, I will one day try ak48 and see how it measures up with AK47. I will admit, I have read some very nice smoke reports about 48. :peace:

AK48 is a knock off of ak47. Not even the same parents. Nirvana just named it AK48 to make more money because AK47 is so popular. I would love to grow AK47 but every time I look on attitude its out of stock. same thing with the pre-98 bubba, its always out of stock. All the best strains only stay in stock for limited time then gone again for months. Don't be fool by the knock offs and advertising, best way to find out about a certain strain is to read grow reports. Seed breeders hyper there strains up in adds to get money dont believe what they write, go by what people that have grown them have to say because they are the ones not getting paid to write them.

Here's a bit of info on the AK-48 I realised and researched once I brought it (finished the grow in december) BUT

AK-48 is not a rip off of AK-47... It has absolutely nothing to do with AK-47 I suppose some part of the AK could just be marketing BUT they called it AK-48 because in 'Ideal situations' and 'perfect environments' it can actually finish flowering in 48 days mine finished in about 6 weeks but could have gone a week more.

It was designed as a ridiculously fast growing strain and is one of the reasons I brought it and it DID live up to it's namesake.

Hope that's useful!

Stay Frosty!
