flex tubing can be run anyway you want
yeah i cant see whats under there so its just regular tubing that i can connect and make it as long as i want? as far as the drain i forgot to mention that i wanna put it on the side at the very bottom cause i dont see a way i can get to the bottom while the res is full. 4tatude i need a connection to screw in a garden hose on the res and then when its unhooked i need a cap. sorry i forgot to mention that

how much water is left in your res after you drain it? where on your res is the drain? it sucks for me cause after i pump my water out i still have like 6 inches of water left. this makes me never want to change it lol

great info 4tatude. im definitely gonna buy one of those incase theres water left in the res after i drain it through the valve or incase a spill happens at anytime. i just got back from the hardware store and the guy there helped me out alot. i got a bulkhead fitting and everything involved to make the drain valve

guys im looking for a system similar to this in the link below which is the Pipe Dreams Plant Tier V96
http://www.progressive-growth.com/proddetail.php?prod=24004B

i was actually planning on buying the pipe dreams system for a long time but i just realized that the height of it is insane and doesnt make sense. i also dont like how all the pipes arent an even height. does anyone know a system thats similar to this except every pipe is an even height and alot lower to the ground. just remember that all i want to do is take neoprene inserts out of my ez-clone 120, slip them in the aero system then im done. i dont want to have to take all the clones out of the neoprenes and transplant them into something else. also no hydroton rocks will be in the system. it will just be a king size ez-clone type system. my ideal system would be 80 plants in a 5' x 10' space with 2 1000 watt lights. does anyone know a system like this?

just to add ive never ran aero before and i dont want to build my own system. i know thats what everyone is gonna tell me but id rather spend the money and be done with it
Sounds like you want to finish plants in aero with no net pots, right? IME once plants get big and heavy, they will drop through the hole neoprene and all. No bueno.

Cloning systems are designed just to get a decent root system, then transfer to their final home

Here's how I do it. Once roots are big enough I transfer 4" net pot directly into my DIY F & D tote

I just scoreds2 Pd4s.It was part of a estate sale. was thinking of using the PD4s to get the ladies big enough to transfer into hydro buckets. But also thinking maybe with covers and the right drip heads , misters or whatever they would work for the rooting phaze itself

You are right.

The way to avoid this is to stick the neoprene collar in a netpot.
The edge of the netpot will prevent the collar to fall through.
You still will need no medium.

What also might help even more is to grow a lot of smaller plants per square meter, which means less weight per collar.
Also the 'load' is less heavy when the rootball is on the bottom of the tray, and is somehow a bit supported.
