Aeroponics qeustions..

So I built a one Plant Aeropincs system. And I was wondering, if i cant use airstones because i cant find them, what should i use? Or who do you know that carries them. Home depot and Lowes dont...Oh and Can you grow aeroponically without nutrients?

there aren't any pet shops or aquarium stores near you?

so is it an aeroponic setup with misters or a bubbler dwc with just bubble stones?? as they are very different setups with an aero you dont have to have the air stones not needed

Surely there is a WalMart near you!....Go there if you want air stones....they are cheap. They carry air pumps also....$20.00 will get you plenty.....

wal-mart has airstones in the pet section. you have to have a wal-mart. i live in the boonies and i have a wal-mart

You hit the nail on the head with aeroponics.. no airstone needed..period!
You are adding air when the jets spray and the air infused water falls back into your res.

sorry to butt in your thread. i have a diy aeroponics system and i wanted to know what the schedule for watering with lights off.

No problem man, I'd Like to know that too. How long would i bubble for? Where can I get those lil red balls inside the cups in most pics?


And can someone please answer if aeroponics can be done without mixing nutrients into it? I'd really like to know.

You need nutes.. just 1/4 - 1/2 the dose. I persponally use 1/2 and step it up when I have a deb full of mature Bell Peppers or an insane amount of beans as in when I have like 100-200 beans on the vines and a jillion blooms.

I was 3 on and 3 off or even get by with a 1 on 4 off.. both have treated me very well and for the sake of $ would reccomend the 1 on 4 off.
Also I run the water schedule around the clock.. makes life easy.
