The Milwaukee ph600 for $25 is the best value I have found over 15 years of using various ones in different price ranges that I have used for aquariums, hot tubs and grow. It ca be finicky but the key to keeping it calibrated is to not have it powered on when out of a solution and not to leave it out between measuring (max 5 minutes or it start to go off by .1 or .2 every few minutes. I have kept it calibrated for over 4 months when being stringent.
I am using that now. Going to buy another. I also buy the premixed single solution by GH. It's just easier. I hate 3 point calibrating, seems asinine. Most of those cheap PH meters on amazon are either crap, or come broke.

people post videos of clones all the time. If there is a few pics they tell you day 1 day 2 day 3 but there may have been many days between the pictures. There is no real way to know. Not trying to be an ass to you, i tried to phrase it non aggressively but tone dosn't come out in text. I apologize if i was being an ass.

I use blue lab pens as well. Ph and tds/ec. The blue lab tds pen didn't read low values. I called blue lab about cleaning methods. I then mentioned that it dosn't read low values. They told me it was an old model based on serial number and they will send me a new one free. The best part of this is at first they sent me a Ph pen by mistake with a free tds cleaning kit. They said they screwed up and to keep the pen That is pretty awesome costumer service. My hip was also real sore when they sent the proper pen to me so I never went to send the old one back in the return package. Each pen is over 100$ Canadian. Thanks Blue lab!!!!

Have you noticed that the Milwaukee is always .2 higher than it should be? Not a big deal, but it happens about 5 min after you get it dialed in.

Not offended just want you to try it. I was shocked.

I'd agree that there may be some temp issues going on there. I see a lot of people running hydroguard with synthetics and still getting root issues.
That water line seems awful shallow too. Less water often leads to higher temps and more ppm/pH fluctuation.
I could never dial in bleach or H2O2 so switched to hydroguard but also chilled the water pretty much at the same time so I'm not sure which did the trick but brought a grow back from the brink. The biggest help for me was a chiller. I also ran H2O2 for the first few years but it's hard to find the stuff here now (35%). I didn't ignore you, I'm always interested in what you bring to the table red. And yes sorry guys, guess I've been kinda of cranky lately lol

6 days is the quickest I get roots on cuttings and at that I'm amazed, I've some that take 10 or more. It seems strain dependant as well. Water cycles are very critical for LPS when roots are just starting and over watering is, for me, a huge problem. I typically only sprayed twice-three times a day until they are established then I find it doesn't seem to really make huge difference in growth re timing but I'm sure all setups are different.

out of curiosity, has anyone tried to graft a root to a cutting. Take a cutting make a slit in the stem. Jam a cut peice of root from the mother and maybe the graft can bond in a couple of days. use a neoprene puck in a cloner to hold the root/slit tight. Maybe scrape/scar the piece of root that goes in slit
clone graft.png
might be good for hard to root strains

Only if I don't cap it right after. Store in 4.0 solution and calibrate with 7.0 (both blue lab solutions). Occasionally hydrating in plain tap water for 12+ hours helps when the fluctuations don't stabilize. I am on my 3rd Ph600,first one I sold with my first grow gear, second one took a dunk in my hot tub and now using my 3rd for all my water related stuff.

My expensive Nutridip and blue lab pen have been sitting in my storage for many years along with some of the other 10-20 dollar amazon/ebay ones.

We did some air layering back in the day and grafting as well but the grafting was just for snickers and the air layering was to get a rooted cutting before rooting hormone and pot books lol.

Seems like you went pic hunting but not threading. This was from my F & D, flooding every 1-3 hours- more during veg, le during bloom)

The problem here was that I was accidentally doubling the nutrients, micros, and humic acid. It had nothing to do with the F & D

Th OP is asking about lpa, which operates much differently
Ok ;).

Go get some bulk head fittings. They are drains you would use on a rain barrel. Use 1 tub as a reservoir and the rest of the tubs as root bins. Use A BUNCH OF WATER. Don't skimp on this, 5 gallons is not enough, it gets hot too fast. It fluctuates in temperature too much, use 50 gallons. Move your drivers outside your tent, get some air flow, get some Styrofoam insulation boards and put them on top of your root bins. Most pond pumps like we use can be place outside the reservoir with a hose leading to the inlet.

I would suggest getting LPA down before you tackle HPA.

Did you also dip clones in clonex before using biocozyme? What do you mean exactly when you say you dipped in clonex while making cuts? Do you mean while cutting the leaves off of lower nodes or do you mean dipped in clonex while you were taking other clones?
I dip clones in clonex, lay them on a towel, then keep cutting. Biocozyme goes in the bin.

I take a bunch of cuttings, and cull the weak ones. Throw them right into the super soil bin to be recycled.

I have ADD, so I like to multi-task and tinker like a mf, while jacked up on blue dream. I am building a 3D printer while typing this. LOL

I'm hoping by manipulating variables in my tent, that I can lower the water temp right where it needs to be. I think this is my main issue. I've moved my Meanwell drivers outside of the tent.

Any of you have recommendations for a chiller, or substitute? They are kind of pricey, and I have multiple bins, that will be going into place.

If I cut from the top of the plant 5-8 days was the norm. If I cut from the bottom, less. I've been told it has something to do with the hormones in lower growth. I let my LPA system run constantly the last time with no cycle while trying to get roots, with that biocozyme.. I might also mention that I do not use rock wool, I use neoprene inserts, and cut the bottoms out of my net cups.

Is the blue dream you have an A+ strain? From seed or clone?
Grew from seed. It's just HSO. I have been told it's not the real thing. Anyway, colors/music is more intense, light is brighter, hits me in the eyes, smells of tropical fruit and pine skunk, just like mango's, blueberries, tangerines, pineapple, skunk.. Exhale smells like blue berries. I get a heavy sativa kick in the ass, kind of high. No couch lock. No munchies. Puts my girl in the mood, every time she smokes it. I usually pull when trichs are milky. around 9 weeks.

I am always looking for new strains. Going to pop some laughing buddha/blue diesel here soon and give it a test. I like those really happy strains that bring laughter. Fun to smoke with friends.

What are you into?

Pretty much the same thing I think! How’s the yield on her?
In dirt I pulled about 200grams from a 5 gallon bucket. When I grew her in hydro smell was even stronger. I love the smell. I use the 11/13 light cycle, then let the plant sit in the dark for 5 days after I pull her. Then I cut and hang.
