i have no clue what a HOT5 light is or what a wala is
Its a certain type of light, it produces vertually no heat, its not as good as an HID but much better than a compact flourescent... I will provide a link for you to look at, there are many out there, but the key word here is High Output (HO) T5 is the size of bulb... If you are ok with spending a few hundred dollars, I would recommend just bypassing it all and get a 600W digital ballast..

Lets back the boat up for a second here, how many plants do you intend to grow? Will you ever want to grow more than what you first intend? If thats the case just get the 600.. If you are ok with just a couple plants then the HOT5 will suffice, just get a couple compact flourescents for side lighting (the lower branches will benefit from that)..

Heres a link to a HOT5

Keep in mind you want BLOOM bulbs, you can easily veg with a compact flourescent..

This is a great little light for rather inexpensive.. perfect for that DWC system you liked

This is what ya want bud. It has both metal halide and HPS..

The Metal halide will take care of your vegitation stage and the HPS will take care of the Blooming stage (different light spectrums) its an all in 1 deal. Good price.. If you want to buy else where just look for something similar (600W DIGITAL MH/HPS).

The sunleaves float n' grows should be found anywhere, most grow stores will carry them

Cool...what kind of room do you reccomend
A room with good ventilation that doesn't get too warm would be best, make sure that you are able to get complete darkness during your bloom stage 12/12.. As for that link, it doesn't seem to work and if you check the "seeds" forum of this site you may find your answers for seeds there.. I'm not a good one to answer that question, sorry bud.
