AeroGarden Problems

So I have been experimenting with an AeroGarden. It has been about two weeks and my Baby is about 3 inches tall. The other day I changed out the water and added fresh new water and nutrients. The next morning my Leafs are draped downwards as if the plant is dehydrated. What could the problem be? it is constantly getting water... could it be shock because her out to change the water?

Another problem.

When I changed the water I also changed the location of the AeroGarden unit itself from a closet to my open room so that the fan could get some airflow to strengthen the stem. I must have set the wrong settings because when I came home the Light was OFF. I do not know when the light turned off but it has messed up my 18/6 cycle. If I start the cycle over as if nothing happend will this effect my plant and make it start to sex from just one day of miss lighting?

If anyone out there is using an AeroGarden and has good tips I would love to talk to you on MSN/AIM.

Thanks! :weed:

Ph. Unless you are using bottled water and a known fert solution your ph is likely off. Don't worry about the light for a day part. go to your usual sched. I about killed some plants with wind burn once. Watch too much fan, sucks the moisture right out of the leaves.

I have an aerogarden, I suspect that you are now aware that every time you unplug it, it resets itself. At least mine does. Don't panic about the light for one day, they are little now. You don't say what the water Ph is or what nutes at what strength. I don't use the nutes that came with it. Did you try and keep the new water temps consistent with what was already in there? In the future I would post your questions in the Aerogarden forum, there are folks there with a great deal of experience with these little machines. Good luck with your grow!

i searched and searched for an Aerogarden forum i found it the other day but couldnt find it again. if you could copy and paste that link it would be great but.....

i made sure the bottled water was room temp before i put it in, and im using Technaflora Plant Products LTD. recepies for success starter kit.

1 mistake is maybe i should have gone half solution while the plant is so small but i did full...

the PH is right at 6-6.5 but is hard to tell because its the kind that i put water in a viol then drip ph test indicator in...

When i was in HighSchool i once grew a plant taller than me back in a cornfield... now im just experimenting im on no level of a master grower but would like to be..

I think im going to drop some money on some supplies.. but i dont know what route to go someone is telling me that i should just use dirt its a lot cheaper and only takes a few more days to produce the product... but i like the look of the hydro kits.. any suggestions?

I also was looking at this Forums shop and saw All Female seeds? didnt know this existed but if i were to purchase those do you think they would be legit? and im in the USA so will feds be tracking that shit?

And its 3 inches tall and still no roots are coming out of the rock wool ...?

I grow soil. Easy but has it's own hassles. Cheaper start up than hydro and you can use the same lights etc even if you switch to hydro later. Ever wonder what to do with 35 gallons of used potting soil? Not a problem for me but really could be for you. Coconut coir is an interesting compromise.

I run my Ph a little lower 5.5-6.0, you are right about the nutes I start with Ph water, go to 1/4 strength and build up from there. Take your time and learn along the way. There is a ton of information out here, read more than you write. I do both soil and hydro, I get better results with hydro. Maybe I'm just not doing the soil right, I see plenty of great soil grows here. The feminized seeds are pretty legit but, expensive. If you are going with an autoflower that is what I would do, if not get a good mother plant/plants started and work with clones. I have ordered seeds from overseas and no issues.
