I just use plan tap water but the soaking the stem in the gel for a little while should help shave off a day or so on the rooting times. The gel will just wash off in the cloner anyway, so like lux said, let them soak in it for a while before putting in the cloner

Tap water only, 10 days from cutting. I agree tap is easiest and the best View attachment 3400523
But see whenever I have tried I Always seemed to kill them... Perhaps it was the water temperature.!? I Just bought some rooting gel and will let the clones soak in the gel before being sprayed.

But should I Also buy some cloning solution? Or just control the temperature better?

In all honesty, I use this stuff in my cloner and don't worry about temps. Pool shock is the secret ticket. I've had 100% success rate using only pool shock, tap water and running the cloner 24/7 non stop, sometimes for a month straight. Clones stay perfectly green and healthy until transplant. That's it, I keep it as simple as possible, keep the water sterile and the clones will do the rest

Product needed: hth shock and swim

How to mix solution

Mix 1 gram pool shock to 1 gallon water (or 1/2g to 1/2 gallon, whatever you'd like in that ratio)

For cloners, add 30ml of the solution per 5 gallons of cloner water every 3 days.

That's all

I use just water. Pump running 24/7 keeps water warm. Which isgreat for rooting. Ive never had a root problem in the cloner. I clean between cycles. Thats it.

Get roots in as little as 4 days.

I love the better call Saul, the season went by too fast! Was watching an episode and then realized it was the season finale and was like wtf lol.

Right...pilot seasons usually are.

But still it was i think 6 episodes. Breaking bad's pilot season was 8.
Ahh, the pilot, I hadn't thought about that. I miss breaking bad, that was probably my favorite show. Didn't even know it existed until about a year and 1/2 ago, my landlord in ny mentioned it and said it had the guy from Malcolm in the Middle and he was a dealer. That's all she mentioned, so I had to check it out, turns out it was great and I watched all of the seasons in like 2 weeks :p

Yeah I didnt get into it until a few years ago...right before the 4th season came out. Watched first episode and thought meh...but kept watching as friends convinced me it was great. So glad I kept watching. Makes me wanna watch x-files, another Vince Gilligan show.

What's the difference between this and chlorine bleach..is this just more concentrated? I'm trying to decide between some 35% h202 or just bleach. I have gallons of bleach around( bought a couple cases on sale last year..lol), so that's how I'm leaning..just need to do a little more research on dosage/effects/etc.

I think bleach is sodium hypochlorite and pool shock is calcium hypochlorite (calcium is better for the plants too). I also think bleach isn't as strong and it disipitates faster

I clone 36 cuttings at a time, I need 22 rooted cuts every 2 weeks. I've been doing this for four years and the best system I've come up with is to use Botanicare's Power Clone solution and Hydroguard for bennies. In 7-10 days I've got really bushy, pristine white roots on 90% of the cuttings (I almost never get 100%, but I toss what hasn't rooted in 10 days 'cause thats my cycle). Without Power Clone I only get half the roots, I love this shit. Don't let your water temp get over 80f or so or you'll start to cook your roots, in the summer I've got the cloner on a cycle timer or they'd all get cooked. Winter I let it run 24/7. Good luck...

I dip cuts in Clonex for a minute or 2 each, run mycos in the res, keep water temp below 80F, and run the pump 15/45.... Roots in 5-10 days depending on the strain

Alright thanks everybody wish i could have gotten back on soon but had no internet i tried with the solution and ruined 2 batches should have used plain water gonna try that once i get some rez cleaner temps and ph were fine but for some reason got a lot of salt build up maybe the solution but another week be doing another batch with plain water see if it works wish me luck

Anyone know what to use to clean out my misters they have this nasty white funk thinking salt build up? But i have some clear rez will that clean out my misters or no

I use 4ml of Botanicaire's KLN, and 4ml of Dyna-Gro's Pro-Tekt, per gallon of tap water. My aerocloner uses 5 gallons, so I use 20ml of each additive. Set PH @ 5.2, and in 24hrs, it rises to 6.2. If not, I adjust it to 6.2. I keep my temperature steady at 72F. I run my pump on a fixed cycle timer, that's on for 1 minute/off for 4 minutes. The PH & Temperature parameters are most critical for the first 2 days. Once you've got the PH set, it doesn't change. Every 5 days I'll add 20ml of Hydrogen Peroxide, until I take the clones out. I think the most common mistake people make with aerocloners is that they don't clean, sterilize, and rinse them afterwards properly.

mrdankbud, If it looks like mineral deposits, which it sounds like, soak them in white vinegar. It should loosen it or completely remove it. Then just scrub with your wife's/girlfriends tooth bush. It should come right off.
