I’ve always used hid now looking to use led but after hours and hours of looking on the net I feel like I’m doing circles.
I would like to do diy but I also don’t want to purchase something overly complicated that ends up a mess.
I would appreciate feed back from experienced light builders.
Cheers

I would buy 4 and just make a frame to fix it too.
I’m not sure if it’s a quality led and worth my time.

Hey, DD
The fixture you listed would be fine for flowering but for the area you are trying to light(32 sq ft), you will need at least 30 w/sq ft.
For a 4x8, I would look at using a pair of 600w drivers running either 8 or 12 of the QB's. There are plenty of build threads for something similar.

Check out the HLG 260 Rspec's. I have 2 of those, a 135 Rspec, and 2 100's in my 3x8. 4 260's would be better in there, but the 100's are only in there temporarily, until I turn back on my cmh lights instead. The Rspec's will still be in there though when I switch the 100's back to cmh. I think 4 would be enough for your 4x8, and you could always add more. Depends on your budget.

The Samsung 301B and 301H are likely the most efficient LED available. Excellent quality.
The Mean Well HLG drivers are arguably the best available.
The quality is there.

Personally I like Samsung Series-F and Bridgelux EB strips. As far as value goes, they cannot be beat.
Depends upon your expertise.
I think the kit approach will work best for you.
