im 7 weeks into flowering and one of my plants grew way faster than the others. i don have a magnifyng glass to see the trichomes but the hairs are about 80% red and the bud is nice and firm and sticky. the leaves on the plant just started to turn yellow yesterday but they arent too bad yet.
how bad would it be if i didnt harvest for 4-5 more days? is it gunna fuck up the thc or anything if i dont harvest it in time?

The smoke could give serious couch lock if you wait any longer but some like it that way. I bring back my nutes 75% when I see 20% red and whack em at 50% or so. 80% though, better git er done and harvest .

tough to tell with no close up pics, but 8 weeks is fairly early, could be ripe, maybe not too
if you have good eyesight, you can scope out the trics with just your eye
have a white light behind the bud, then look at the bud edge, might be tough if you've never scoped out trics before

Seven weeks is way too soon, guaranteed. Let it go another two to three weeks and your buds will definitely put on weight and mass. And the hair color has basically nothing to do with ripeness, it's all about the trichomes. I have plants that have had red hairs for five or six weeks now, yet she still pumps out fresh white pistils and gets fatter almost by the day. I have no plans on chopping for at least another four to six weeks. Harvest now and you may get a 10 minute buzz, then a headache, wait another few weeks and your reward will be worth it.

Yeah, you've got another 3-6 weeks ahead of you. The buds are tiny and skinny, nowhere near done. On the plus side, they do look healthy and happy. Growing is all about patience, show some and your reward will be great. Good luck!
