i bought this only around 2months ago and its starting to changle colour at the top where the plastic is normally white, anybody else experienced this? i've got another same size light from a prev grow in there too and thats perfectly fine, the plastic feels the same temperature on both lights and theres no signs of damage.... all help would be appreciated?

was it new when you purchased it? i used 125w cfls a while ago,had the same bulb it also had some minor discoloration but not as bad as yours.i'm thinking as long as it works,should be ok.

Probably designed to be pointed upwards so the cooling ports take cooler air in.

pretty sure I've got some cfl bulbs, albeit different size and wattage than yours, where that discoloration has occured.
