I was checking out this thread trying to gain knowledge on CFL lighting which i was lead to do by a few people who knew whatcthey were talking about. Im never the kind to dispute because i dont let it get that but for a new kid on the block this quite discouraging. I need a little reassurance. You know what i mean...

hey matey cfl aren't that bad as people state mainly because they cant use it properly due to not having enough knowledge, cfls are best for stealth grows in small space due to the amount of heat produced, second they don't work properly in open spaces.

let me explain using my knowledge
1- vegg only with 6500k this makes your plant small and compact because if you use 2500k your plant will stretch.
2- reflective surrounding to maintain light in all areas
3- use Scrog if not then LTS, to maintain plant small and compact where you can decide where the light will go to (example bushy plant will reduce the light traveling to lover branches where bud sites are because it wont penetrate through) this is why I always decide to go with scrog.
4- keep bulbs as close to the plant (HPS/HID produce highly charged photons which can travel long distances and penetrate deeper in other word light will pass through leafs) CFL's produce low charged photons so you have to keep them 1cm on top of the plant this will make sure you plant get high charged photons because they don't have to travel the extra distance without loosing their speed in other words they get more light.
5- during flowering try mixing the spectrum like 4x25k & 2x65k this will make sure plant gets more lumens
6- remember focus on the actual wattage not what its equal to
7- proper set up in small grow will leave you with cheaper bills than with HPS as well as the cost to buy them is well cheaper than buying HPS or HID or LED

Thanks:-) for the knowledge. Can you give me an exp of what scrog and LTS is. And is there a specific CFL that i should use and how many should i use per plant? Ive jotted a few different ones down such as(6400k Dayspot cfl 26w)-
(Hydroponic Full Spectrum)-(Agrosun cfl 32w 64k).

should be 100+ *CFL watts* per plant. white spectrum during veg and orange spectrum for flower. I have 5 CFLs for 1 plant

Hey...so when you say 100+ does that imply 26w 5* and when you say white spectrum...is the soft white?

yea I have four 26w and one 55w CFL, so I have roughly 160w for my plant, and shes growing beautifully...keep them no more than 2-3 inches from the tops of your plants (gotta keep checking the distance or they'll grow into the light = not good)

for veg I had 4 soft white and 1 orange spectrum, for flower I have 4 orange spectrum and 1 soft white... I have learned its good to have a slight mix to it

Yea
I guess that is tru, more surface area=more energy produced during photosynthesis, but I also know that with other plants, lower growth blocked out from the "sun" doesn't tend to thrive like the tops in full sun... guess its potato/pototo lol
Yea im totally oblivious to the life. If you saw the set up i have for my baby youd feel sorry for me...lol :) But im going to get me a grow tent and set up nice may get two. Not really enough rm. But ill get it going...

haha its all good, listen do this- GO ON YOUTUBE.COM. watch AS MANY videos of procedures, steps, veg, flowering, lighting, temps.... I stayed up countless nights when I first started just gathering as much USEFUL information as humanly possible, you would be surprised how much u can learn. ask people on here-there are a lot of people on rollitup.org that KNOWS.THERE.SHIT. ASK!!! that's what this site is for. make a Journal on here, that way people can see your progress, and changes that may need to be dealt with ASAP! you are in the right place my dude, TAKE ADVANTAGE!!! now that you are a "member" go to my profile page and check out my journal!! im following you now, so if you need anything bro, don't hesitate to ask me. good luck, and have fun :eyesmoke:

Yes focus mainly on 2typez of CFl 6500k for vegging and 2500k for flowering might consider mixig bot to the ration of 2/4 because during flowering 2500k tend to stretch the plant if you use 6500k as well your plant won't stretch that much. To get more info it would be better to search YouTube for LTS and Scrog, LTS work on basis of adjusting how the branches grow literally tying them so they grow vertically instead of the natural growth and scrog make all the bud sites to grow to the top keeping all fan leafs at the bottom just loom on YouTube hope it helps mate I'd love to see your set up

Ok. Thats great word.. I havent yet got my set up but im going to homedepot ans get everything their going to need. The picture i have of my plant its just growing as experimenting and understanding the plant deeper. i You know its more than just science. And its healthy but i have only a 2500k Light on her because i dont have everything i need. Besides i just love plants mirw so ccannabis :-) but cant wait to get my set up its coming.

Also i know that the wrong light accord

yeah my emotions are yours should i just let a fake person talk sh*t and say nothing o wait i'm not a b*tch or a phony so i will say whatever someone just shouldn't be allowed to mis inform people. you fake f*ck. edit and pictures do prove alot put your name on paper next to a scale your only pictures look like something a dogs ass grew
mamamia!......are we actually allowed to talk like this......like you do??

Man, lastfrontier... GO BACK TO SCHOOL.

Not only is your grammar the worst I have seen since I watched a amputee try to type a letter but you have got to be one of the dumbest F's I have ever had the misfortune to read...

Seriously: it IS a simple concept, it IS a scientific fact and it IS obvious to any grower of any plant.

If you cant understand that I really suggest going back to school or maybe just dont smoke weed anymore, sounds like you probably dont need any help slowing down your brain!! Infact, why not go hunting? Like, I believe, many other brain dead freaks do for fun. Personally I prefer activities which dont make me want to touch my "hunting partners" penis.

Also: (quote) "...I did not get this far in life by just believing some ones opinion" Really? "..this far"??? hahaha, im guessing your not VP of a bank but anyway, as you dont believe someone's opinion I thought i'd give you mine:
I am surprised that you manage to remember where you put shoes...

Sorry man, I had to get that out. You're just so f'in stoopid :dunce:
and you sound very stupid............you talk in a very bad way but lastfrontier does not

im sure everybody already said this, but last frontier, ur a donkey, its obvious you dont know what ur talking about, and you need to calm down on bein all defensive when ppl call ur bullshit
hahaha.....YOU the one that dont know what u talking about......u just proved it

Well if ur ass spent more time reading you would probably make fewer spelling mistakes. Download a fuckin spell checker for your browser, because it seems like u need someone to do the spelling and wording for you, freakin illiterate. "Mabey" "dose" "yeild" "worring" and still not a single comma or period. Did you ever go to high school?

Post those pics or stfu. This forum is reserved for real shit and not ur misleading fake shit. I'm down with CFL's, I use them myself. Check out my posts, my one plant has at least 2 oz main stems and then a few more nuggets on the other branches. However, your lies and ur shit gets me irritated. How comes you even care that much that you have to lie like that? Are you a CFL salesman or something? You're one weird person thats for sure.
start to read yourself man...........not just jump in here and scream, thats very rude isn´t it?
