Advanced Nutrients Big Bud is it worth it?? ( Indoor soil grower)

I get that it should be concentrated. But personally using premixed salts I could never go back to liquids again. So much cheaper and far easier, plus I've only had one problem and that was with calcium for strains running past 10 weeks, an easy fix with just amending my soil mix.

Eta: if people can't even get bottled nutrients right, I agree they wouldn't be able to figure out raw salts.
I like Jack's Citrus ratios but have you ever calculated the actual cost of usage? 1.5lbs for $12 plus another $12 in shipping makes me wonder how 'cheap' it actually is. I see a lot of folks using 1 tsp/gal. That means a tub that costs me $24 only makes about 140 gallons of food. One teaspoon per gallon could be way more than I feed so maybe my math is skewed here.

The shipping is a pain, and I calculate it into my cost. Still cheaper than anything bottled at the end of the day. Only other way that it could be cheaper is to buy the ridiculous 50# bags, of which would last me a life time. The hydro store I visit to get perlite and happy frog said they can special order it from their supplier.

Luckily I just found out I can get it on Amazon Prime so shipping is free. So if you are a prime member, no worries on the shipping cost as I had previously went through Jacks website

Ive used it in soil. It works. I use the liquid kind during the specified time frame. Buds swell up phatter and get sticky. They are working on an all organic version I hear.

"I've read out a few different analytic reports on their products, and how the NPK ratio is never right on, and their starting mixes are contaminated with heavy metals, so they can pay less for their materials, and charge you more! So if they're already lying about normal things, surely the crazy crap they're advertising is all made up to."

this is awful garbage without any references - AN haters are like trekkies, a little clique of women-less whiners that need a focal point to orient their frustrations towards.

I have read a few analytic reports that you lifeless creatures who sit here and troll against a fert company, for whatever reason such as price, politics of marketing, your own ego (you get ego fulfillment here?) need to find enjoyment in life through something more substantial than this.

It reminds me of the little kid who moaned that watts equal heat, for two friggin pages of uselessness, here we have nearly 10.

Good job!

I think its worth it. You dont use much. I use the liquid during the directed weeks...and it sets up buds for bigger yields. However I find the biggest bud growth by following big bus with Overdrive in the final weeks of flowering. I grow in soil btw.

I have no arguement, Ive never even used them!! lol All i said was they have an impressive staff, a well presented product with good customer service (ive been emailing them with questions about their nutrients, because as youve so wonderfully shown, its nearly impossible to get an intelligible, objective opinion here. I said that after looking into it, theyve sold me, and im gonna try them out. And the way the sold me was being smart and nice over the phone. And btw, your only beef with them is that theyre expensive, and they make promises they cant keep (according to you)? What kind of an argument is that?

Heres something to think about. We eat all kinds of different protiens, carbohydrates and fats in our modern diets, agreed? some carbohydrates give you a quick burst of energy then ware off, some carbs give you a steady stream of energy for a given amount of time. Same thing with fat, some fat will give you a heart attack, some like omega 3's are good for you. So just cause two fertilizers say they have nitrogen-phosphorus-and potassium in it, doesn't mean they're equal. And from the looks of it, AN is expensive becasue they pay for research with actual doctors, not just a bunch of stoners who have been growing "for a real long time..."
Botanists cost money. Teams of scientists cost money. But stick with whatever your doing i guess, im gonna try something new.
And they pay you how much?
