Basicly this will be a whole new thing for me being ive only done organics in the past. Well ive found some decently priced advanced nutes that i picked up (Conniseur, professional bundle) along with a couple bales of the sunshine#4. Anyway , should or do I have to add any admendments to the mix and will it be ok with the nutes im using since the mix does contain coco coir. Do i really need to amend or am i good? I have some good castings and lime but does it need it? Any help in this particular area would be great. Peace.

Think I seen a thread the other day, was the side by side done with Dyna Grow or Blue Planet or something.?. If there's a thread, I wouldnt mind checking the out the results. But I will be giving AN pro line up a try, simply because I don't like writing something completely off on the basis of other people's results and not my own experiences, but i will surely take any info on the subject into account before i give any New company a try.when I say "New" , I mean new to me,.peace.

It was a joke of a test IMO , where he amended the recommended feed quantities based on his "observation" and "past experience". Hardly scientific. I have done the opposite: Grown with AN that killed Dyna grow.
But sir, like you said . You be the judge. It's not like buying 2 different cars. It's quite fun actually. Leave it to these Debbie Downers to ruin a fun hobby.. if that is what it is to you.

I've used sunshine 4 for 15 years... The only thing I add to it is dolomitic lime. One cup per 5 gallon pot. The peat gets acidic late in grows and the lime counteracts that. As far as having coco in it... I'd read the label again because my sunshine #4 has no coco...

Yeah, Its the sunshine advanced, that has coco in it. I tried it. Nothing special. I would rather use a "regular" coco blend.
I actually switched to coco, because of the ph problems with peat-based mixes, later in flower, while growing trees.

Does amending(on top of whats in there already) with all that extra lime add too much Ca and Mg earlier in the grow? Any problems? I always figured it would. I prob figured wrong. But, I love coco for trees though. I wouldn't ever switch back.

AN was calling for feeding levels above 2.0 EC and since I didn't feed that high with the other foods that I'd tested, it wouldn't have been fair to AN to run it any differently. In regards to this thread, the OP is running AN in promix whereas my test was in hydro. I've never seen Conni do well in hydro but I've seen it 'work' in promix. Regardless of the growing method, Conni a ripoff and marketed to people who don't know any better.

In regards to your DG vs AN test, got a link or any pictures? Talk is cheap ya know ;).

I've never had a problem adding a cup per 5 gallons. It is time released. The lime doesn't break down all at once. I add the cup to the original mix then top dress at flip to flower. My plants are in the 5 gallon pots about 4 months, and yes... With no lime and growing trees it gets way to acidic and plants shit out late in flower.

The top dress I do is only a tbls per gallon. Not a full cup like I mix in the soil.

Just what a lawman would say. I'm not that stupid to implicate myself. Thanks anyways.

P.S. EC meters measure other things besides salts. It will measure ANYTHING conductive. So why don't you do your test again but this time follow directions?

EDIT: Strike that , I don't support nothing but Sensie anyhoos.
