Adjusting pH using FoxFarm Nutrients and Soil

Hi I've been growing for awhile, with advancing accuracy and now want to fine tune my pH adjusting. YAY I live in the great state of COLORADO AND WEED IS LEGAL HERE!!!! Anyway, I always use the Fox Farm nutes and soil and have been following their schedule with quite a bit of success. I do alternate... one watering of nutes and then just plain water the next watering. Fox Farm stuff is pretty strong so I give my plants a bit of a break every other watering. This last grow has had a few issues... one of my autoflowers is a real dwarf... chalk it up to spotty genetics. I also am growing two nice Urban Poisons and a nice White Rhino. I'm in the 5th week of the FF cycle (translation...first week of 12/12 light/dark ) and I'm still not sure what the pH of the water should be.So for someone who REALLY KNOWS for sure, can you tell me this. What should the pH of the water mixture be (after the nutes are added) from weeks 1-4? And what pH should the water mixture be from weeks 5-12? I've gotten so many conflicting answers from different 'experts' it's starting to drive me to smoke...lol. I look forward to answers from people who KNOW.THANKS SO MUCH!!!maddi

hey i'm kind of a newb but i have a book written by seemorebuds and he has a nice chart on ph adjustment.

"ph levels for cannabis soil grows are between 5.9 and 6.0, 6.2 or 6.3 is fine also but not as ideal."

soil 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4 5.5 5.6 5.7 5.8 5.9 6.0 6.1

water 7.4 7.3 7.2 7.1 7.0 6.9 6.8 6.7 6.6 6.5 6.4

so that's the chart, so if you have a soil with a very low ph you will need to give it a few waterings with a high ph to try and balance to a 6.0 soil ph testing.

if you dont know the ph of your soil, adjust your waters ph to 6.5

Thanks so much... I never have checked the soil itself...

Perhaps you should. Real gardeners and farmers do, because the soil buffers the water, nutes, liquids to its pH, not the other way around. pHng liquids has little effect on the soils pH.Dolomite lime is usually used to get the soils pH in the 6.5-6.8 or so range at the beginning of the season and that's pretty much it. Irrigation water is not pHed.Wet
