Additional plants per patient for edibles?

Hi, I'm about to submit my application to become a caregiver here in maine. Someone told me you can have additional plants per patient if you go through the process to be eligible to make and distribute edibles, but I wasn't able to find any mention of this in the state guidelines.

Anyone have any information on this?
