Adding shake to soil

Hey guys, new to RIU and have been reading alot about different nutrients.Just wondering if anybody had an idea whether adding shake to your plants could be beneficial or not. Seems like a great organic to use and it's feeding off of the same plant it's trying to become.any opinions are appreciated.

Uncomposted organic material is not suggested. Perfect growth medium for all sorts of nasty shit like viruses.

What hotrod said, rotting plant material can/will get that green fungus crap, and then you've got gnats....
