Acapulco Gold landrace

Hopefully with me living in the south I will be able to acquire some fairly easily, since I live far far away from any dispensary. I believe I remember seeing the Jalisco and Chocolope on sannies site, think it was called Xocolope. I got the Sannnie's jack, as I didn't want to put off getting that for a third time. I wasn't familiar with the Jalisco strain either to make a fully informed decision.

I love that so many are starting to bring some real deal sativas to market, I have been sick of the muddy hybrids for a long time. Just take your time and do it right, I'll be watching for the releases of the IBL's and Mexicans being crossed with each other; until then I will try my hand at strains like Mextiza, Thai's, and Malawi or Golden Tiger. Maybe even that Jalisco Chocolope cross now that I know a bit more about it than I did a few days ago. IN a way, I am relieved that the new strains are months away, or else I would have to spend many more hours narrowing down a rapidly growing list of pure sativas that forever to decide on.

Yes it is the Xocolope, looks mighty tasty. Can you elaborate more on the high from it, the website description just says "Exceptional daytime smoke with a good balanced effect." I guess to clarify what I am wondering, is it racy at all, a little energetic, or just super clear headed? I am trying to round out a box full of sativas with the full range from clear to mindwarp.

I have to agree with you on the new strain releases every year, I was talking to some people about that the other day, which is another reason I didn't pay attention to the offerings I mentioned earlier until I saw the forums at IC Mag where the gear was being run with smoke reports; I am simply tired of the marketing speak, and seek confirmation from others with similar smoke tastes when it comes to shelling out good money.
The Xocolope was named by Santero. Neither of us had a problem with this name. He was one of the first testers of it. It is good daytime smoke but will lay you down if you have too much. Has a horny quality about it for some women. Straight lemon candy taste and smell after cure. It is not racy at all. Some people think sativa means racy and yet they forget Chem is a sativa dominant plant that will put you to sleep. The cannabinoids determine effect and not the climate it where it was found. It is a good plant and completely stable unless you overheat the plants. We had 1 tester who had a hermi and was related to heat alone.

The biggest advantage to these new crosses is this is going to increase the cannabis gene pool. Remember that most of the strains we smoke or eat or vape today have at least a little bit of Mexican in them.

The crazy marketing is the worst part. People read it and believe it. Bright colors, fake tits, and flashy ads and in the end, nothing more. Eskobar Seeds will never sell thong underwear or bobble-heads with a company brand on it. We are not wal-mart. It is about the plant and only the plant.

If you want something racy, the C99 will give you a heart attack if that is what you are looking for. It is at F3 at the moment. Oil made from it is like basuco.

Cool, that is what I like to hear, I was hoping it would have that too much effect. I have no problem with that name either. Iwas hesitant on ordering because I hadn't heard of Jalisco IBL before, and the fact I really wanted some Jack. I crossed a chocolope with a SAGE I had, it was some of the best shit I've smoked and it would have that too much effect. Sad thing is I didn't make many seeds and it died in re-veg.

I'm not too worried about the herm issue, as long as it isn't a true herm that fully displays both characteristics of sex. As long as there is only a few nanners here and there I'm good. Actually it makes me pretty happy when it just pops one or two out and I can see it before it puffs it pollen; it saves me the trouble of having to CS to cross it with something I think would be an awesome cross.

It won't be long and I will be running basically only IBL's and pure sativas, if not about 99% pure.

I actually have a C99 going right now, and just harvested one. It's from Female seeds, looks pretty dam good. Super frosty. On the order I places with Sannie I requested the C99 F3 from Esko. I fukn I hope I get that. I'll never have to order another Cindy again.
This will be the first time I get to taste pure cindy, I had a C99 xline hybrid from female seeds which was pretty good, I liked it a whole lot.

Is there any timetable on the Acapulco? That is one I was daydreaming about as I looked at all the Mexicans, Columbians, Africans, and Thai's.

I found these in Sierra Madre del Sur. The elevation is pretty high and it shows in the leaves. They are not the long thin sativa leaves of a hot climate because of the altitude. I would guess the elevation was around 6000 feet or so. The mountains are very rugged and occupied by different indigenous communities. The guy I bought my mangos and avocados from has family there and without them I could not have gotten inside.

The plant is classic Christmas tree shape and flowers right around 9.5 weeks. The plant is shorter than the plants taken at lower altitudes. The leaves are wider. The flowering time is also a little shorter. It has a light cedar-spice and light fruit smell. The buds obviously have a golden or beige look to them at finish with pink to red tips on the calyxes. It puts out a good yield. The crystals give off a lightshow in the sun. It has the very small classic sativa trichome heads but they do not flash the blue hue of some of the plants I found in Jalisco. The taste and smell of the plant is quite pleasing. It is not as wild as the Michoacan because of climate but is very good quality. It grows very well indoors and out and can finish in time before bud rot sets in if outdoors.
Sounds Nice :) I've always wanted to try this strain since I read this smoke report form 1975

Oaxacan: Has a minty taste and is also spicy. It tingles the taste buds. The minty taste allows the throat to stay open, which means you draw more smoke into your lungs without coughing it out. It's quite airy considering it's power.

Replace Paul Masson with Eskobar and wine with seeds.

'No Acapulco Gold before it's time' Ordered the Jalisco and Oaxacan should be here real quick. Can not wait for the Guerrero or Acapulco Gold, one and the same? Michoacan sounds good too, do not recall having smoked any of them except maybe the Oaxacan once.

I think Acapulco Gold is legendary for a reason. Makes you feel like you went to heaven and even vision inducing, also heard that of the Oaxacan. That is the story I have heard anyways. Will grow these Mexicans under high kelvin spectrum LED lights. Sun dry them too if I can get away with it.

http://www.sanniesshop.com/ Go to Eskobar section both female and regular seeds. Oaxacan is in the female section and Jalisco in the regular.

Rev.thenatural said the Oaxacan is too fast to flower so not genuine. Oaxaca is a large state with many different strains and climates. This oaxacan is from a village in the mountains at 6000 feet altitude. So not the same as Rev. has but not to say these are not very nice too. I know these seeds were real genetics from the areas but maybe have been interbred with indicas a bit? I am not sure if the Rev. is gonna have seeds or what. I am waiting for his seeds but will grab what is available.

ACE is gonna release a 1979 Oaxacan late this year or next year. It is supposed to be the real deal and some proof of that already. It is mentioned over at Icmag in the ACE section.

You seem pretty negative but will respond anyways. I want to dry the buds in the sun for a day or two, not a month. If you had smoked sun dried pot that was done right, you would know it is fine. Storing your buds out of light is good, letting the damn sun shine on it for another day or two after chopped is not a factor in wrecking anything.

Lol not negative just you seem to have some 3am high hopes to expect hallucinogenic herb.. What you're really talking about here though is heat in your cure. Big pile of bud fermenting in the heat as it dries and starts to cure, combed and flipped a couple times a day, possible light decarboxylation going on idk maybe someone else might have the exacts but Something nice happens to it.. if it's in the direct sun it should be covered, light can only hurt. Especially sunlight, zero benefit to it. Ideally this process should be done in a hot house/barn/shed

I have insomnia but do not have unrealistic hopes for the herb. I have heard too many say they got transported a bit while under the best sativas. Had it happen to me once. Did not see things that were not there but nothing was the same, if you know what I mean. That does not happen with modern hybrids and I have grown and sampled a lot.

Could be the heat and fermentation, yea. I will only be putting out a ounce or three, not a pile out so maybe no benefit. I fail to see how a few hours under the sun would lessen the thc much. I care about the other cannabinoids and terpenes as much as the thc. They might get a change that is good.

if its really good it will stay good.

if its not ..any amount of tweedling will not help much

a day cure in the sun..of course don't worry..

and yes ..get the right sativa and watch the walls move

thanks for the link..any mention of indicas out crossing makes me run

ace is cool but they seem to wanna make too many of the sativas friendly by messing with them

i guess i will wait for the rev

the drying is fast..there should be little loss....and yeh you can dry it in the dark..

but in the end the main thing is to ACTUALLY grow it ..instead theoretical..

and have the guts to weather through months and months..and months for the finish

quote
" the C99 will give you a heart attack if that is what you are.."

ok it may be just me..but

ihave grown c99 more than bit..hoping for a heart attack..
[well in a good way]

i had the original HS offering of c99..f2's.. f'3's..i was disappointed..

i found c99 was really potent the first joint and from thence forth...never again

...my brain figured out that it wasn't noidy for me ..or even that potent..

like a11..kind of where for the first 15 minutes its.."oh this is the best"..then

it wasn't...
