About MH light~~~help

and now i use 2 39w fluorescent(6500k) for my 8

sprout,although they wont germinate now,but i think i

should prepare a 400w mh for them....

And i have called the light company today , they told me

there have 2 kinds of K, one is 6000,the other one is

4500K , someone can tell me which one is the best .

6000 K the 4500 K is useless for growing makes a good outdoor yard light though. See the chart attached.

If you want to, or you could just add a few warm white cfls (2700K) if you don't have a HPS yet.

If your seeds won't germ, you either did something wrong unrelated to lighting, or you just had bad beans.

Totally untrue. I have a 4000K and a 3000K MH powered by a 400w ballast. Those kelvin temps are fine for growing. Granted, the 6500K emits more blue spectrum which is good for vegging, but don't say something is 'useless' when clearly it is not.

i think my problem is my English isn't good enough to understant what you mean......
till now , i still don't know how many K is properly to veg...sorry~~
because someone told me to use the 6500k flouracent at first , but it's not enough when my babies grow up, so i want to buy a mh to them ,
so someone tell me which kind of K of mh is the best......please~~

for what, to grow them bigger or to flower. 6500 K for more growth, 3000 K for flowering (2000 K HPS is better though)

For vegging, how many k is the best ??

6500 K, and WILL work for flowering too with the addition of some 2700 K CFLs or a small HPS light.
