? about curing

ok i built a drying tent ............racks all that

now the ? is ...........if i shut the fan off keep the humitidy to 50 ...........i could leave them in there to cure that way (just need to run the fan/carbon scrubber for 15 mins a day)

so if i converted a whole room into a sealed places no light and controlled it like it would be in a jar i could just hang it all in there and leave it until someone orders something

50% humidity is low for cureing / sweating / fermenting , Thats more of a storage/ageing RH

you need the fan. need the the air to be moving around.

i use a cold bath room. fill some buckets with water for humidity hang a rack and call it done. the central ac has a vent in there so thats all she wrote it does great. your ganna dry in there and cure in jars or bags or what ever floats your boat.

a cold bathroom with buckets of water? dang uncle jed, why don't you just have jethro run around the block a few times with yer buds in tow? that'll dry em up purdy good...

well currently
i have a dr90 with a 4 tier rack ....100 cfm carbon scrubber ...and a 10 inch fan with 2 points of movement up and down and left to right
current method is to take off all the branched flowers(u know sticking off the branch with good 2/3 inch of stem ) the ones tight to the branch/stems i cut about 3 inches under that and take the whole thing .......trim it down to just the flowers right before i jar up (trim down the last of the sugar leaves make look pretty)

if i can just cut them down and dry them then change over for a cure....then i just need to jar up for the orders and the rest of it is safe


so what am i shooting for a good cure
1 darkness...........covered
2 smell control.......covered
3 air movement .....covered
4 humiidity .............50% is storage so what do i want i know 60% mold can attach 40% that hay smell
5 labeling .............dry it then each tier is just for one plant masking tape with name

i almost always get that grass clippings smell for a while. it passes pretty quick.

I said a bath room(its an extra that no one uses). Not an out house. LOL. I live in the desert we have almost no humidity we gotta do what we gotta do. That bucket of water sitting on the cool tile actually keeps the room even cool. Im cool with being uncle jed he was a Baller, "black gold texas tea" if you know what i mean.

hey, i'm in the s.w. too. i've found that a swamp cooler really helps throughout my grow, curing too...

It broke few months ago. about to get another one soon.

programmable control with warm and cool choice ..............i get about 50 hours before i need to refill with water i set it for 35 in the winter time it keeps it at 50% near the exhaust

A crockpot adds a good deal of humidity , depending on location/ room size you may have to monitor close thow, But where im at they work well in large area's

i like about 60-70% rh in veg, and between 40-50% in flower.

this is dry ........no growth no flowering ..........i have cut them off the plant
