A Some Discoloration on leaves...maybe 2 different problems

So I'm about 2 months in a veg cycle and my lighting is at about 16on/8off & running 2 2' t55 High Output fluorescent bulbs. I recently transplanted 2 plants into 6" pots and 1 seems great while the other one seems like it might still be recovering a week later or has another problem. I'm gonna post 4 pics of the plants I think are discoloring and has some browning on the tips and 2 pics of the plants I think are doing the best. I'd appreciate the help. Sadly for these plants I'm currently using the remainder of a bag of MG organic soil crap and some miracle grow plant food. I'll discontinue the plant food 2-3 weeks before flowering and replace with something you guys think would be better.

For my next grow i'm replacing all supplies cause I see the error in my ways on this grow...anyway here's the pics and lemme know what you think. It's appreciated.

I say dont water for a day or two, let them dry some, then take the problem plants and flush them with about 1/2 gallon of water then wait a few days untill its dry and do it again. That will get them happy again.

yea I think your right... I had watered with some nutes right before posting and this morning I noticed one big fan leave that's been yellowed for about a month now start curling up alot so I figure a little over nutrients so I'll flush...just curious would you recommend nutrients 1x a week for vegging or like 1 every other? I know I need a ph/moisture meter its just $$'s been getting tight. I'll let em go til tomorrow night probably and just give em brita water.

Cool,

Well, sounds like the MG organic soil itself has enough nutrients for your veg cycle:

"This product is regionally formulated with organic materials (derived from one or more of the following: forest products, peat humus, or compost) sphagnum peat, composted manure (in Florida, cow manure) and pasteurized, pelleted poultry litter."

And if it was manufactured for California or Texas sales theres even more nutrients.

I would say don't give it any more nutrients at all. Just use water unless the whole plant starts to turn yellow. Then feed half whats recommended every couple weeks.

They really don't need much. More people cause there own nutrient problems by over feeding or improper Ph then anything else.

wow thanks for the conservative advice...I think my biggest problem is having small pots...and even that doesn't seem to bad at this point...just as the leave tips turn color and the bottom ones sometimes yellow/brown and curl up I get nervous...I'll do the just water advice for a few weeks..btw what's the proper size container to start a plant and not have to transplant...I'm thinking maybe 2-3 gallon plastic container would be best?

yeh bro those babies are way too big for those pots,i dont know about gallons, but 11 litre pots, the square ones, are PERFECT,automatic strains even fully fill them

and is that tin foil, because it looks like it,not a good idea

I looked up 11 litre pots and from what I saw theyre' 10" by 10" ... I only have a space of about 30" x 30" so hopefully that wouldn't take up way too much room

yea it is tin foil...I took approx half of it down but I've left some of it on, cause the tape I used originally actually rips away at the paper lining of my grow case but i'm aware for reflection it sucks and it builds up heat too quick as well.. for the next grow i'm starting a new w/ new pots, soil and nutes.
