A Single Lighting Solution

I'm a new member with old school experience and back in the day had many successful grows with a pair of 600 watt MH/ HPS on light movers. Back then I would always start my seed stock under 4 ft flourecents then moved them under the MH 2 weeks after the seeds broke soil.

Well 20 years later and and a government issued license in hand, I have decided to set up an indoor grow again though the landscape has changed dramatically over the years. Due to space restraints I would like to go with a single light assembly that will take me through veg to flower. Therefore have purchased a 4x4 grow tent, Can Max fan/filter and a pair of Timber Vero29 based cobs with 2 x VL3's for a total of 600 watts at 3500k. I plan to use Pro Mix enhanced with organic fertilizer and worm casings. My question is has anyone had experience with Timber, I would like to use one of the lights (300w with variable 10 -100%) to start my seedlings and then add the second light as my seedlings are established 2 to 3 weeks into veg. I just don't want to overcook my seedlings and have no prior experience with Timber or any other LED. Any feedback on the best path e.g. further distance, lower power or a combination of the two in the early stages of my grow would be greatly appreciated. Great forums and thanks for any suggestions.
