Yeah man really they were just not as perky and vigorous or what?
I have a 10k btu ac I have just sitting I guess I need to set it up tonight.
What changes did you make to get your room to cool the hell down.

I got white widow max clones (white widow x big bud)
And the purple mk from trinity county both should be real nice just the seeds are taller then the clones though kinda messing up my canopy height but I just adjust the lights appropriately.

My sig is the link to my journal if you would like to check it out, lots of pics
They would be droopy before lights off (almost like they were overwatered), I got some light bleaching, I started seeing the early signs of heat stress (leaves curling upwards), and they definitely slowed down the growth for a bit. Ya that ac unit should work to keep your whole room at the proper temp...I just changed my light schedule so it was lights off during the hottest part of the day, I put the glass panel back in my aircooled hood, and just try to keep rez temps below 70* (they're usually around 64-68*). It is easier to regulate with only 12 hours of lights on too.

That's rad, I want to run a white strain someday. The purple mk sounds interesting, is it (Purple Urkle x MK Ultra)? Your tents are looking pretty good, you definitely have a few plants in there. :weed:

Yeah exactly the bleaching is what's getting me, but that's awesome you got it all in check.
Sealing up the hood by putting the glass back in probley did a lot.
And I bet with only 12 hrs on its a lot easier to keep temps down, I run my lights from 8pm to 8am and when I was in veg with the light on from 8pm to like 2 it was so hot in the middle of the day I could only run my 250 watt hps

Is it going get pretty hot where your at this summer?
I'm in Southern California kind of costal so won't be too bad but def need the a/c

Ya the clones i got went from cfl's to my 150w HPS for about 3 days and then into the tent and under a 600w MH...rookie mistake, i didn't let them adjust...but i just had to dim my light for about a week and slowly raise it back up to the full 600w. Now they can't get enough, I keep lowering it and they keep on growing green. Maybe try raising you light up a few inches and see how they respond?

I agree, the glass panel definitely helped, however you loose about 10% (so i've read) of the lumen output vs a bare bulb...but its worth the 10% to get temps where they should be, I'm sure heat stress would affect yield and quality more than 10% less light.

I run from 8pm to 8am too, veg was lights off from 8am to 3pm so i got most of the day but it still got pretty hot in the tent by about 5-6pm.

And yes, I'm thinking its gonna be a very hot summer up here. Probably gonna have record drought conditions too, our snowpack is nowhere near where we would like it to be. I'm probably gonna have to set up some sort of cooling system once the heat rolls around.

I love SoCal, especially Santa Cruz. I have some family in LA, I plan on moving that way sometime in the future.

Awh yeah man def got to adjust them I went from the 250 on super lumens so like 300 watts to a 1000 raised all the way to the roof and then slowly lowered it they seemed to do good,
Just now with all the lights up at 62 watts a square foot it's a bit much ha.

That's cool about the 10 percent more lumens with bare glass, so if ya can cool it it's almost always better to do that them huh

and yeah man it's cool down here where are you from further up north? I've been here my whole life so I guess I'm kinda spoiled with the weather I need to go live somewhere else and see how the rest of the world is hahaha

mystery seeds are the best you never know what you are going to get!
For sure, the mystery is always fun....But I prefer to have a name to the face, ya feel me? I like knowing the strain, I'm kind of a weed nerd and like to talk about it. :bigjoint:

Ya I have a 600w inside my 2x4 tent, so I'm at 75w/sq.ft ....Definitely gets bright in there.

And if you can keep cool without the glass panel then thats the best of both worlds, but if you have to choose between heat stress and 10% less light, I'll always choose less light.

I'm up in the Tahoe area, I love my ski resorts! Where abouts in SoCal are you from? And ya for sure, you definitely get more temperate weather than I do up here in the high desert. It is beautiful up here though, it's hard to beat world class ski resorts backed up against one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

Oh wow yeah I didn't do the math for your space that sure is bright in there haha.

Awh man hell yeah Tahoe that's so sick I'm down in north county San Diego like just south of Santa Ana and San Clemente.
I like to snowboard and stuff so I hit the resorts down here like bear and stuff but it's nothing compared to Tahoe or mammoth and stuff. That's sick your up there.

How's the girls looking?

Ya I love tahoe. I've never been south of LA but I have heard wonderful things about the San Diego area. I love snowboarding! I usually hit the North Lake resorts like Alpine and Squaw, but all the resorts up here are awesome. I've never been to Mammoth but I've heard its amazing and huge!

They're looking pretty good, I trimmed off a few fan leaves to let light get to some of the lower tops trying to make their way up to the screen. Got about another two weeks of training and then I'm gonna take clones and completely defoliate below the screen. Then we are on to the 4 (maybe 5) week push! :weed:

Yeah man got to come vacation down in a SD some time.
That's cool man iv heard good stuff about most those resorts up there. Defenently need to get a mammoth trip in too!

Nice man nice there ganna start getting some nice bugs I miss dwc so simple and huge yields I did a side by side 3 gallon pot and 5 gallon dwc bucket and the dwc kicked its ass, twice the yield (almost) ans way more frosty and dense.

I got this plan after my pull to do 9 dwc 5 gallon buckets with only 2 1000 watt lights in one big 8x8 or 10x10 tent.
I feel 2 lights will be a lot cooler then 4 and I can still run the ac.
And prob almost yield the same with dwc and better temps.
Whatcha think ?

whats crackin duuuuuuudes? Been a while since a photo update man......quit leaving us hanging! Looks like im gonna be bringin down my Rom D in a few days....a mere 16 days after i originally planned....updated the pics over at the other site. looks like we will be trimming in a few days if you arent busy.

One thing on your two is you can probably stop training now (i usually train for about the first 2.5 weeks). Then in about a week you can start chopping anything thats not reached the screen or is going to be shaded. have those beasts focus all their energy on pumping out frosty top colas

Please do keep cloning the Rom D, as I dont have any other seeds left of it so mine and those 2 i gave ya are all thats left up here. interested to see how those different seeds turn out....im trying to get some more info on the genetics but dont hold your breath.

Ya it's been a min since I took any photos...I'll take some tonight once the lights come on. The colors are really coming out on yours this round, starting to look like that first run you showed me. For sure I'm in for a trim op.

And alright for sure, I have about 75-80% of the screen filled. I'm gonna make my last tucks tonight and then let them go, I'll be at 3 weeks tomorrow. I can't wait to defoliate under the screen, it's a jungle under there! I've already been plucking fan leafs off here and there, but just the ones that were blocking direct light to some tops.

I'll have to have you give me a run down on cloning, I've never done it before, but I definitely want to keep this strain around, especially if you and I are the only ones in the area that have it. :weed: I'm thinking I may run the Rom D again, and in the meantime pop a few of those GDP seeds and see if I can find a lovely lady or two. I might (it's a solid maybe at best right now) be able to start an outdoor grow out in the boonies soon, so if that comes through I definitely want to throw a clone of the Rom D out there and see what it can do. Probably throw a GDP, BB, SB out there too while I'm at it! And word...more info would be awesome but if not I'm just stoked on free seeds!

Alright it's been a bit since I posted some pics and gave an update, so here it goes...

As of today, both ladies are on day 23 of flower (week 3 day 1)
photo (10).JPG

I think I made a rookie mistake and put the buckets too close together...I originally did this to get both little clones the max amount of light, but never spaced them back out before I started scrogging. :wall: As you can see, there is still some screen on the far sides of both girls that is unused...there are some tops coming up on either side that I'm going to guide, but other than that I think I'm done training. I'm also going to start semi-aggressively pruning up top to remove some fan leaves that are blocking light to lower bud sites and tops still pushing skyward. In a week, everything under the screen not directly contributing to bud growth will be pruned. It's starting to get exciting in there! the whole tent has a musky baby poo smell, but if you get your nose right over a top, they have a very sweet fruity smell. :weed:

photo (11).JPG
My attempt at a macro shot with my phone...can see the trichomes starting to form.

Both ladies are drinking about a gallon a day, with EC steady at 1.5ish, ph between 5.4-6. Haven't checked temps/humidity in awhile as I forgot the thing was in there, its covered by a mass of leaves cause I have it sitting on a lid, but it should be in the same ranges (Temp hi/low 75/70, Humidity around 30%).

Stay Green RIU!
